Oh no, I mean like we used to have such a good crowd all the time, and know it's a bonus when our crowd actually helps us, instead of a formality.

I think our fans are often better than it's made out to be. Especially if you watch foreign streams of games where they don't surreptitiously quieten the Arsenal crowd more than they do at other games.

I agree. Whenever I go there it's been very good, but I swear the acoustics are awful there. I was sitting lower tier one time with my friend sitting top tier on the other side. The atmosphere for me was great, but he said it wasn't

I think the real issue is getting the loud fans together in one place. Whenever I've gone I've been lucky in having club level (mid tier) seats (through dad's work) but I shout my head off. But everyone (minus this one woman you can often hear on TV coverage) else is quiet so my voice is often lost.

You've also got the issue of the relatively comfy seats. After all, every seat has upholstery in the Emirates.

Emirates is really quiet for standard games but not that bad, it's much better than Camp Nou. Lucky they score so often, if not you would sleep!

@Valentine - It's because of the corporate boxes just above, methinks! It either drowns the sound or the people sitting in that area are "too posh and rich to shout".

Well you have to consider the 8-2 drubbing that this game has cancelled out goal difference wise. We've also lost several games this season.

Yeah I've found that. On my own I've made more noise than 100 around me in the upper and middle tier, because people just don't sing!

Same with Camp Nou, if Madrid play or CL, then the place comes alive. But on average, I think Spanish stadiums are very quiet, much worst than Emirates at an average game.

Thing is though, it is still very quiet, but a lot of stadiums are these days. Mate of mine was able to phone me from Old Trafford a dew weeks ago on his mobile mid match and I could hear him clear as day.
I rarely get to the matches these days ( just don't have the cash ) but I used to get over to Highbury a few times a year - but it is a new breed of supporter.
We used to cheer and sing and shout to make something to happen - now it seems we only do it WHEN something happens.
I think that's a bit sad.
