ally put a strange team on the park today. surely wylde should have started or even put wallace in front of papac as we have done for a few games now.

Rangers should still have had enough to beat them...problem was, Dundee Utd seemed to have the better players

As for Ally, he can't cry from having a lack of funds:

CL money-£15m

EL money-£5m

League Cup-£1.3m

Scottish Cup-£1.8m

He's done his best to reduce his budget

Dos You're one of the most reasoned Gers posters on here.

You're spot-on stating that those that turn their back on the club now are nothing but glory hunters. Obviously delighted with the result, but I don't think we've ever had it so easy in Glasgow.

You would think these players would be trying to put themselves in the shop window as they are facing the dole!! very shortly

Dos,

I'm talking about the young players, like Russell and McKay-Steven.

You had players out on that pitch the day, who had millions spent on them to bring them into the club and whos' wages will be 5 times as much as the DU players will be receiving.

I don't think McCoist has many more defeats left in him

Can't believe I didn't mention Gary Kenneth also

Problem for rangers is that even at such an early stage McCoist clearly isn't a manager. Whyte inherited the arrangement for McCoist to take over the reins. I doubt very much that he would have appointed a complete novice had he a say in the matter.

McCoist signed 7 players - most of them very poor or average at best and spent money. He has a squad that won the league last year and has one long-term injury and sold one player of note - hardly a decimated squad ! He doesn't appear tactically astute or seem able to fire up his team. If he can't buy a decent player, motivate, or organise he ain't gonna last long !

Players like Russell and Mackay-Stevens, would breeze into the current team. Even players like Daly and Robertson would make a difference. Thats just the reality at the moment.

Daly was a carhorse today...I don't think he won one header against Goian.

Robertso, Dixon, Mackay-Stevens and Russell were their best players.

A special mention for Gary Kenneth though, a GREAT Rangers captain in the making
