I've never heard of him....if those stats are anything to go by....then we'll see how his nerve holds out playing for a big club....no offence to preston !
Yeah obviously the stats don't show everything, for instance, they don't take into account the quality of the defence or any other loan signings made at the same time as Turner for Preston, that could have played a part in reducing the number of goals leaked.
On a positive note though, the arrival of Turner wouldn't leave Rachubka feeling like he has no chance of the no.1 spot, like the arrival of Westwood or Forster would, so I'd imagine we'd have two keepers pushing each other in training to be the best. Unlike Schmiechel/Higgs last year, I think Kasper got a bit complacent. Although in all likelihood I think Turner would be in the starting line up most weeks.
Remarkable stats. He signed for Everton 8 years ago but has only played 4 games for them. He has been loaned to 8 different clubs in his time at Everton playing only 58 games. Hard to know what you can make of that but he's 6ft 4in and 27yoa, SG will know him well and if he thinks it's worth a punt then why not..
Koppite, I think you get that with a lot of young players that sign for the bigger premier league clubs. They signed him, seeing potential, but he's never managed to fully make the step up to the first team, and eventually gets released. That isn't to say that he isn't good enough for the championship, or even a smaller premier league club. He's still young for a keeper, and I can see him being a good player for Leeds.
A few of my work mates who are pne fans have told me that he did a very good job for them, anything is better than dracula in our goal
If the options were a keeper for a fee and no money spent on players, or Iain Turner and the Kasper fee spent on the defence, I would prefer the second option. Although in all likelihood it will be all players brought in are on free transfers.
We'll have to wait and see where this goes, but I wouldn't be disappointed if we signed him.
No such thing as a free lunch. They all want big signing on fees!

Preston experienced upturn in spirit after ferguson departed.
Personally I don't think we should sign a keeper who hasn't been at 12 clubs in 5 years it shows a distinct lack of journeymanship.
Jonty, Preston also conceded 11 goals in 6 games after Ferguson left, and before Turner joined.
From what I've seen of him he looks okay but he's not better than Schmeichel.
There is no one who we could realistically afford who is better than Schmeichel and, if there was, the money would be better spent elsewhere.
We're going to be linked with every keeper going now.

I was merely questioning some remarkable stats! Like you, Jonty and Walsall, I haven't seen the guy so how can we comment on his abilities. Moyes signed him and has kept him on for 8 years so he must have something.
Kept him on for 8 years as 3rd or 4th choice.
Perhaps no one else would have him.
