Bale would be nice........but not likely!

I wouldn't mind Johnson from City but frankly he just dives too much and we don't want divers at Old Trafford.

What Young did you watch? I thought he was alright in the first half, and he had that great shot that Cech stopped and Rooney could have tapped in.

Young is not United quality and he's entering his late 20's. He is really average. Goes hiding. What has he done of note since the Arsenal game?

Johnson is a good shout. Mata or Silva would have been good at the time and if Youngs form doesnt improve we will have to rely on that youngster Giggs...

Seriously though, people are over-reacting about Young. That was his first match after a time out with injury. Lets give him at least to the end of the season.

SLM

What about Valencia? What did he do today?

If Bale ever requests to leave we simply have to get him, no matter the cost.

Sat on the injury table.

I don't know why everyone is having a go at a person who's never had a proper game for the past 4 or 5 months now. He's been injured and I'm happy he's back in the team, he's a decent dribbler and I thought he was alright for a player who just came back from injury.

He was a threat. He's been good for a while, always a threat.

Only injured in December.

Before that SLM, he was still hampered by injuries. He had that problem with his toe.

Ashley Young has always started the season well. Always did at Villa. Then him and Villa tapered off by Christmas.

Why do we feel this will be different?

Look at it this way. Ashley Young isn't fit to lace the boots of Nani or Valencia. Even Bale.

is ashley young good enough to play on the left? based on todays performance and performances before he got injured it would appear not, but he made his name on the left with aston villa and was on fire at the beginning of the season, so what changed? lack of confidence?

No

It's his first game back since his injury

When he gets a run, he will be great

And you're not fit to call yourself a United fan

Bale is a one trick pony without a footballing brain. I wonder why people drool about him so much.

Once Bales pace goes, he's finished as he has nothing else.

Thanks but not thanks

On what evidence do you say to substantiate the fact he will be "great"?

To be fair Macca, SLM praised De Gea today That shocked me, I think Young will get good on the back of a few games for match fitness. I always admire his dribbling skills and he's probably the only decent player we have for set pieces.

Young needs to be given a proper chance - a lot of fans show a lack of patience which thankfully Fergie has. I remember when both Nani and Valencia first came to the club and there were doubts about both of them, but look how they have flourished. Young made a great start to the season, but a couple of niggly injuries have probably affected his confidence, and it is still his first season with Utd, so give him time. There is more than enough talent there to be a success at Utd, but let's judge him after a season or two.
