Pearce is a clown

How did Pearce even swing the Team GB job? worst manager around

I appreciate the support but i think Capello would do a better job than me

I swear all Fabio said was that the FA shouldn't punish Terry until the court has reached a verdict?

capello may well (and has) have a great club football career behind him - but he has been useless for us. it's under his guidance that the country has got to the stage that barely anyone cares about the national team.

it's under his guidance we had the embarassment at the last world cup.

it's under his guidance that the players have played like they simply don't care.

it's under his guidance that we have continued to play woefully underperforming players.

Stuart Pearce already knows the players, has experience of international compeitions and above all would instill some passion in pulling on the 3 lions again.

If nothing else, give him a short term contract and make a long term decision after the euros.

yes, yes....it's all Capellos fault. Nothing to do with the players

even mourinho couldn't do anything with the england team. no team spirit, no passion, no creativity, media over hypes players, etc......

True but it is the FA and we are not allow to question their acts or judgments!
Very ironic how you can question the Queen, Cameron and other high profile but can't say anything bad about the FA without get penalised!

it's capellos job to pick and then motivate the players - which he fails at spectacularly.

Please VicG, having a German girlfriend it's already embarrassing enough as it is for me to have to watch England kick a ball REALLY HARD and all RUN AS FAST AS THEY CAN after it, without the ignominy having Pearce at the helm would surely add to it.

Have you watched Pearce's sides play and seen his team selections? The guy is a clown end of.

At least Capello can get us to major championships, that's more than the last guy who was selected purely based on being English, which is all Pearce has got going for him.

they do that anyway - at least with pearce they'd show a bit of desire. capello's man management skills have been shown time and again to be woeful - hence we play as we do now.

in all honesty, I'd love pearce to be given a go - but i don't really care who get's it as long as capello goes. which i know he won't, i just wish he would.

just the thought of how much we have paid that guy to completely ruin the england team makes me angry.

no passion, no desire, seemingly no tactics other than kick and rush - it's dire. and yes, it IS down to capello. we have the players to play much better than we do - not to be world beaters, but a lot better than we have played - capello's laxadaisical attitude is what has left us in this state. he doesn't care, so why should his charges?

posted on 6/2/12

i'd wouldn't care if they sacked him, but dont give it to pearce!! He's a backwards step in my eyes, he'd pick too many of the old guard when the team needs a new look.

But Pearce has hardly wowed whilst in charge of the U21s.

I'd imagine that this younger group of players would have a lot more desire to tap into than their wealthier, more cynical seniors.

So if Pearce has failed with these guys, I see no reason for him to prove to be more successful with Rooney, Cashley and co.

Ok, forget pearce - i'd like to see him given a shot, but the important thing is getting rid of the king of the bores.

the only reason he hasn't been sacked before is because they were stupid enough to give him a new contract before the last world cup and it would have cost too much to get rid - now they should be able to do it for nothing.

we all know we're going to do nothing of note under capello at the euros, so get rid and bring in someone new and build for the future.

with the players we have available my nan could manage to get them to qualify; and she's been dead 15 years.

posted on 6/2/12

If England hadn't already qualified, I could see your argument. But we have already, so your point is kinda invalid...

posted on 6/2/12

Yes Victor but its been the same for the las 2 tournaments we have qualified for. In 2006 we had the press onto Sven and then in 2010 same with Capello and now the same. Each time we qualify we always seem to shoot the fellow that managed the team to get us there then complain when morale goes and we disgrace ourselves playing Carp

Give it to Martin o Neil !!

Harry or Jose mo!!!!

Psycho, Moyes, O'Neill, Harry, Jose, any of them would be preferable to Capello IMO.
