Coq went of at half time when it was 3-1 to United. Van Persie missed a penalty in that half also.
I called for him to replace Song because Song was dire in his last 6/7 games, I'm quite sure it was because he had played so many games in a row. But Song pulled it out the bag against Blackburn, and the fact he was took off after 70 minutes means he did need a rest.
Songs on par with Seedorf in his prime.

Don't agree at all. I can't see how anyone can say Song is a better defensive midfielder than Coquelin.
Coquelin has been superb defensively every game. He dominated at White Hart Lane and made City's midfield, which included hargreves, de jong and barry look like pub players.
He went off at half time when we were 3-1 down at OT. None of the goals were his fault.
If we don't sign any top class midfielder I reckon next year it should be:-
----------------------------Coq
-----------------------Song-----Wilshere
Song can produce some eye in the needle stuff when he wants to.

Franny C did NOT go off at half time v Man Utd. He went off just after the hour mark. Man Utd then scored 3 goals in the next 5 or so minutes!!!
The fact is we don't play with a DM. We play with 2 deeper midfielders and one more advanced, and the 2 deeper CMs take it in turns to go forward and defend.
Franny C next to Song would be a good blend.
