Parker was awesome tonight, got in the way of everything, man on a mission .
We were pretty poor tonight though, not happy with the performance at all, more so down to our players as the tactics were pretty good.
Well earned point by you lot although I think we should have taken all three.

Although LFC had no Lucas so had to come out of the blocks and attack us.

No Lucas, no Enrique and Suarez hasn't played for 9 games so he certainly wasn't sharp.
You guys had Bale, Modric and Adebayor, your three best players this season, I saw you lot earlier yesterday complaining about VDV so don't use him in your excuses!!!
Fred Bassett - Adebayor is not close to being one of our best players this season. But you're correct about the other two.
Other than GBH on Parker (hopefully they will reattach his liver for the weekend), at least BAE has come away with his sight and no one was racially abused to my knowledge. FA might have something to say about the laser and the abuse the ref had to take from the foul mouthed £35m failure that is Carroll though I doubt it. He really is a revolting human being, he and his manager are perfectly suited.
Your best players are Bale, Modric and VDV yes?
Ours are Suarez, Gerrard and Lucas so I'd say it's about even. We also lost a bit of defensive solidity without Enrique although Kelly was impressive when called upon again.

Liverpool should rightly feel that it is 2 points lost
---------------------------------
We do
Yeah I think I'd agree with that Fred - those are our three best 'attacking' players anyway in my opinion. So we were both without one of our best.
I find it strange that some Liverpool fans are suggesting that overall both teams had similar injury problems. As far as I'm aware (someone correct me if I'm wrong), Liverpool were missing:
Enrique
Lucas
From would be their first choice 'matchday squad'
Spurs were missing:
VDV
Lennon
Defoe
Sandro
Kaboul
Huddlestone
Gallas
from what would we be our first choice matchday squad.
So I think we're entitled to feel that we did well with that number of key players missing.
Fair enough but I wouldn't call Defoe, Sandro, Huddlestone and Gallas key players .
Our best players this season have been Parker and kaboul
I definitely would Fred. Honestly, I'm not making excuses for us. But Huddlestone played more games than anyone for us last season, and only stopped playing this season once he got injured.
Sandro regularly is in the first 11 when fit. Defoe plays in almost every game - either starting or as sub. Gallas is not our first choice CB, but definitely would be on the bench.
In that case I guess you could say our key players such as Maxi and Henderson weren't involved. What a wonderful squad we have!
When our first team was announced I said I would take a point there and then. I thought considering who we had on the pitch we did very well. Livermore seems to be coming along nicely as well.
were Maxi and Henderson injured? I didn't know that.
If so, I would include them in terms of 'key players missing', so that does even it up a little bit.
But I still know I'd have much preferred to have had Liverpools injury problems than our own....
Lucas is a huge loss for us though, because the only back up we have is Spearing and yes he can tackle and has an OK shot on him, he cannot pass for toffee.
I agree that missing Lucas is a huge loss for Liverpool. Strange how that's worked out, as most Liverpool fans a year or so ago could not wait to get shot of the guy, but he seems to have really hit his stride.
Typical bad luck that he gets injured just as he hits his peak...
He's young though, not much past 25 if my memory serves me correctly so he'll be back. I wish Spearing could actually pass the ball to a Liverpool player though, he was consistently giving it away last night!
A very decent point gained at Anfield last night. I said to a Liverpool supporter that I expected a draw but secretly I expected a Liverpool win. That we drew is a bonus against a fairly free scoring Liverpool side in recent matches. Methinks another unbeaten run will follow soon.
Why do you guys keep obsessing over your injuries? You had 8 starting 11 players in your starting line-up. That's a very decent ratio of your best line-up. The other injuries are irrelevant cos you can't play 16 people on the pitch at the same time. You've largely been fortunate on the injury front this season so maybe pipe down a little.
I thought all things considered we took a valuable point away on a cold Monday night at Anfield. Considering we had 3 automatic first choice players missing in Lenon, VDV and Kaboul and with another couple in Defoe and Sandro also unavailable, very happy with the result.
What I dont get is all the "Spurs parked the bus" trash. Liverpool were the home team, they were, according to some of their fans on here, going to avenge the 4-0 thrashing we gave them earlier in the season but they did not. Furthermore the stats show that Liverpool had 52% possession and Spurs had 48%, they had 15 shots with 10 on target and Spurs had 9 with 6 on target. This hardly qualifies their excuse that we "parked the bus". Whats more we passed the ball on the floor pretty well and a lot more than Pool. Yes, there were times when we hoofed out of our penalty box but in the main, I am very happy with the point we gained.
What I dont understand is why Liverpool havent bought a striker?
MTerry
True, I just think that no Lennon, Defoe and VDV out took out most of our attack. As you've experienced at Arsenal, Ade has his slack/off days and if bale werent having a great game that leaves us with little options. Modric is more a playmaker
mthierry, shove the hell off. This is the Spurs board and NOBODY is forcing you to read the posts. If we want to pipe up we will without a pathetic little gooner pipsqueak like you telling us on our own board that we can't. Who the hell do you think you are? Pee off back to your Arsenal board.
We really need a way to break down the Stokes, Boltons and Tottenham's of this world.
