Italy 19 - 15 England

England will probably prove me wrong and go there, play badly, but come home with the win. I just have a feeling after watching both sides' first game that it is Italy's time to get one over England. Hope so!

I'm not sure whether I am blinded by patriotic fever or the optimism I always feel before an England game but I think we will destroy Italy. I can only think of one attack we launched against Scotland which means there will be plenty of focus on that this week and getting the ball through hands. I agree with you SARS - a change at number 8 is definitely needed - Dowson as far as I can recall took the ball into contact three times in the whole game and lost it every time - why play a 30 year old in a position that he doesn't play for his club. Morgan to come in and play a blinder.

I'm going for England by 16, Farrell to put the boot in and tries from Ashton, Strettle and Morgan. Swing low...

I think I can predict the way other predictions will go...

Anyone not English will say Italy win, probably by a large margin.

Anyone supporting England will say England to win, probably by their smallest margin v Italy.

I'll say England by 10.

If Burton has a good day with the boot, Italy will win. If he doesn't, they won't.

Y2J... You think England will give away enough penalties inside the 40 meters. because Burton has no range.

Also he was second choice FH last week. they have a new kid playing for treviso they seem to be looking to introduce.

Burton's made it into the starting line up for Saturday's game.

I think England will come under a lot of pressure from a good Italian pack, so may give away a few kickable penalties. This game could be decided by a couple of points, which is why Burton has to have his kicking boots on.

As long as said boots are on the wrong feet, thats fine by me

He could have Lionel Messi' kicking boots on but it wont make much of a difference to his lack of ability

This, I think, will be the stuff to leave me pining for the supermarket.
England will try to fling it around a bit but fail to click.
Italy won't bother with that fancy passing nonsense.
Grind, grind, barel legal tackle, grind, grind, grind again.

Italy 12 - 11 England.

Sounds like a forecast of the least thrilling tight game since, erm, well since England played Scotland

LOL

C'Mon gents. This could be a good game.

Im gona go for Italy to win but i will back it up with psychology nonsense!

England' inexperience will wilt infront of the massively partisan crown. While the Italian spirit will sky rocket for the same reason.

Italy by 5....

awww crap! i just realised that the game last week was in scotland and the Partisan crowd were of no use to the home team... DAMN IT!

The only way it will be a good game is if they have cheerleader mudwrestling at halftime
