we played utd coupe of seasons ago in same competition and were 24000 below average when we had a good team

Don't think there was one reason in particluar but theres an obvious few.

Wasn't included in season ticket, people are skint normally this time of year. Don't want to give any more money to Whyte. Obviously losing Jelavic and no replacement.

crowds for scottish cup games are usually tiny at Ibrox

for the past 5 years anyway fans seem to stay away from cup games

tickets were 20 quid and the game was live on bbc one

we played hamilton in the 4th round of the scottish cup in january 2010 and there was 21,000 there so it's not a new thing

crowds will be getting smaller for the league games

will still be able to pass it off as 44,000 when there is really 35,000 there but that's what happens

next seasons season tickets sales will fall big time though

"next seasons tickets sales will fall big time though"

Dinny say that Snaaw is banking on that season book money

in january 2011 we played Kilmarnock in the 4th round of the scottish cup at Ibrox and there were 13,000 people there

2010 4th round 21,000
2011 4th round 13,000
2012 5th round 17,800

the crowd at the weekend didn't have much to do with what's going on

Polloks

I hear what your saying but think allot of bears will not be happy at the moment and waiting to see what happens with the tax case before they committ to buying there season tkt next year.

Been there mate in the 90s hated it Rangers bringing in big signings and we were getting nobodys, its funny how things turn arround, but one thing I have done over the years following Celtic is to take the good times and cherrish them beacuse you never know how long its going to last

we are going to lose 10,000 season tickets holders next season through this-at the very least although i would imagine more than that won't be back

the way we are going we won't even be the second team in this league

Thank you to those with constructive answers

And to Jinky, when you learn how this forum works, you will notice the four words following BROWSE, above the red bar at the top there

You can't blame the Rangers fans..they work all week and they expected to pay good money to see what,David Healy It's not just Alistair who Snaaw is shafting with his lies it's the punters

When I was a lad many years ago the Scottish cup was pretty much the highlight of the season.

Things have changed though and the league is the end game.

Yes I was expecting more on Sunday perhaps 25000 but no more than that.
The reasons are the normal combination

Sunday
12.15 on a Sunday
Council TV at 12.15 on a Sunday
The weather and its on council TV at 12.15 on a Sunday
Money you dont have to spend on a Sunday when its freezing its on council TV at 12,15 and its Sunday.

Now combine this with the fact we are not playing well at the moment and the crowd will be low.

Aye, I think it was all about it being a cup game that was live on council telly. There's always a poor turn out for this type of game.

Although, a few thousand of those missing might well have been disgruntled too. Who can blame them?

what you tend to get on these days is the die hard sales

Then in the days before the game folk say I quite fancy going to Ibrox at the weekend.

There (for the reasons given) were not many of these.

What is "council tv", is that what you call terrestrial tv i.e. BBC, ITV, 4, and 5?

yes

It was Ally McCoist in charge for Rangers in a cup game.

17,000, some where Arabs the rest were masochists.

I never went on Sunday coz I'm skint and wasn't paying £18 for the ticket + money for food, pints etc which are part and parcel.

Had it not been on TV I might hav stretched to a £3 Juvenile ticket and got a pint and a bite with my £15 saving. But with it being a cup game (despite it being the only chance to see one this season ) I wasn't too fussed so I had a few folk round to watch it at mine instead.

It was great

my ticket was 15 bucks I think

add 8 bucks in taxis and 30 in beer

Not a cheap day out

But Hey I had fun

posted on 7/2/12

Duke it's not cheap at all mate. We get zilch with our books.

I'm sure the Tims get their qualifier that they lose in and a cup game. Not that many Manks on here couls clarify that for us

Pure no fair. It's a conspiracy! Even Rangers are out to get Rangers fans

posted on 7/2/12

I though 15 bucks was good value,,, this was before the game right enough.

If only I used public transport and didnae drink I would be flush
