I agree with all the above.
What angers me so so badly is the lack of responsibility that the owners nor management show. Not once has ANYBODY held their hands up and said to the fans or anyone that they got it wrong.
Kean for one has never ever stated after a single match that he got the tactics or team wrong and that is pure arrogance.
Hell even S.A.F. admits when he's wrong sometimes.

In fact the only blame this season has been directed at us supporters!

It is funny isn't it. Us fan's (the people that keep the club afloat) are the reason we are in this position if you would believe everything the media has to say, not the inneptitude of the owners, the manager or whatever 10's of reasons there could be for the situation we are in, it is those pesky fans.
I agree as well, it would be nice if for once when we lost Kean said 'we played badly' or 'Sorry to the fans, I set the team up wrong'. Instead he has some awful excuse for why we lost. The press conference after the Arsenal game summed it up. We didnt lose because Givet was sent off, we were already 3-1 down. We were completely outplayed before that moment, just be dignified and admit it Kean, rather than find an excuse that holds no weight. We as fans may not be the manager, but we don't swallow everything you say either.

Like it was stated earlier Blackburn has no relevance to the FA/Premier League/Sky Sports. They don't give a toss about us, the Jerome Anderson interview being an example of bear baiting of the fans and much much more, yet were's the balance?
Were's the interview were all the lies and deceit that we have been fed are aired for all to see?
(Oh I forgot Anderson is the agent to various pundits that are contracted to Sky sports)
You watch soccer Saturday and listen to the biased opinions of the pundits, Match Of The Day you get the same. Read the papers they will only print what they want.
But yet all the focus has been on us as fans of the club, i.e. There's dark forces at work with these fans (Anderson) I can't walk around Blackburn for fear of attack (Kean) My kids are being bullied (Kean) I can't bring my kids to Ewood. (Kean) I could go on.
Not once has it ever been suggested that we had a good reputation as a family club prior to these idiots using the national tv and media to drag our name through the gutter.

True.
That Anderson interview on Skysports News was the last straw for me on that channel. It was bad enough having to put up with the drivel on Soccer Saturday that they spouted about our fans everyweek, and then Sky give Anderson a platform to spout his rubbish and not give one to the fans. Was completely ridiculous.
Lawrenson on MOTD isn't much better either, he sounds like a broken record.

Lawrenson has his own agenda he's a noblot but biased all the same.

I have read all the above and sadly find myself agreeing. I am more disconnected as I live so far away in Kent now. "home" games for me are against the London teams, Arsenal, Spurs and man Utd.
However my 9 year old still retains his support for rovers despite all his mates supporting the above, he stands proud and alone in his Rovers stuff, shirt, hat, scarf etc. He gets lots of comments when he goes to football training courses as all the others have the above shirts and he turns up in the famous blue and white halves.
Obviously a lot of the comments are about going down now but he still stands firm.

Yeah, I am not saying he has the same agenda as Sky but he does seem to not like Blackburn.
In previous seasons he has always predicted us to be relegated on his match prediction table, even when we were playing well. Don't know if he is a carp pundit, an idiot or has an agenda. Probably all 3.

Rovers fan in Kent

Good on him, nice to have the youngsters still with the club rather than supporting the teams Sky and the like constantly shove down everyones throats.
Shame he can't enjoy the joyful times I did when I was growing up as a Rover's fan. I know the older fans didn't have that luck either but it was great for me to see us win the league when I was young. Shame I also saw us got relegated not that long after, but at least I enjoyed the joy of us coming back up. Hopefully, IF we do go down (don't want to be too negative, we may stay up yet) your lad will be able to have the joy of seeing us come back up too! Was a great day for me when we won our promotion back to the 'big league'.

I Just wish for some "warts and all" honesty and truth to come out, and at this point, to be honest I don't care if it IS "we're asset stripping", at least I'd understand that, even if I didn't like it!

We sureley must have those with Rover's Hearts burning to 'spill' Maybe John Williams? Tom Finn? SKA? the Admiral? I can't believe there's any truth in the "keep Schtum" deals, maybe I'm too naiive...

I hope people close to the club do come out and spill the beans as I would love to know what goes on behind closed doors. Shame it hasn't happened yet, hopefully it will soon. Would add some much needed support against what is happening to the club.

As I'm hopefully going to be off to uni this year, coupled with the fact that we might not be in the PL for a long time after this season, I really want to see a game before the end of the season. However, I want that last home game to be like the old(er) days, where I could go to a game knowing we could potentially get something, rather than going thinking we haven't a chance.

Under the current regime I'm not going to go to that last game, I may reconsider if things change, but I doubt it will do. I just hope that the potential break from Ewood doesn't sever ties completely.

Jerome "I cannot walk around Blackburn" why would you want to? I don't suppose you pop into Greggs for a sausage roll, apparently you don't do any paid work for the club and frankly I wouldn't recognise you if you bit me on the behind.

Kean and his children being bullied, sorry child with learning difficulties. Sorry are his difficulties relevant? And frankly having a role model like you automatically puts him at a disadvantage! He lives down South, now frankly 18 months ago nobody had heard of Steve Kean so I take it every child called Kean is getting bullied?

Absolute pile of horrendous toss and basically defamatory!

It is comments like that which sum up the situation at Rover's which other fans don't seem to understand. People feeling the need to stay away from the club they have supported their whole lives due to a regime that has taken away the joy the club used to give to so many people. Ewood was and always will be to me a special place, it is a shame that part of what made it special is being taken away and won't return until we have a change at the top. What is sad is that it is not just me that feels like that, it seems like it is the majority.
RTM08, I hope it is not the complete severing of ties from Ewood for you, as like me I am sure it has given you a lot of joy (as well as sadness) over the years!

I'd love to see how MOTD, SSN etc would explain an empty Ewood park on a "big match" just tumbleweed and silence. Would put the "some fans" or "small minority" to bed, but conversley that little bit of My Blue and White heart would disappear that day, that's when hope is all lost.

I think the half-r r r r r ed (See what I did there? those are "R's" ) Journalism thinks Fans are upset because we may get relegated, not because of the state of the club. To be frank, With SA & JW at the helm, I wouldn't care if we were in League 1! as long as we kept our soul, even if it was an engineered soul that was portrayed!

Reading back through this thread actually gives me some confidence.

The fans remain the heartbeat of any club.

One day....

Just passing through but in response to the OP - no, you're not the only one. I've lost a hell of a lot of interest in the entire sport of football because of the situation to be honest.
