AVFC, think Misbah wanted him because he bowled quiet a few overs in the ODI's vs the Lankans & he can bowl spin. So, if he's been added to the squad then he's definately gonna play so I'd play him instead of Cheema. 2 seamers & 4 spinners should be more than enough and a long enough batting card.

I doubt A Akmal will be wicketkeeper, he is just a WK and nothing else. Doesn't offer much in batting hense U Akmal should WK.

RVP, Your team is a good one, similar to mine. Agree with the 2 pace bowlers and the rest spin.... england will struggle vs spin in ODIs too...... just like they did in india late last year

I just havent got malik in. I dont rate the guy at all as a cricketer, used to be a fan of his..... But the guy is nothing but trouble-causer and the further he stays away from the pak team the better

Looking at the squad i think we can safely say that it will be the bowlers once again who will win us games after sub standard batting will give England plenty of chances.

Who do you prefer to open Farhat or Shafiq? Hafeez plays aggresive role and Shafiq plays the try to bat the long innings role.

Younis has to come in at number 3, with Misbah at 4. Remember the new ICC rules, it's much tougher now to bat in ODI cricket, so Younis and Misbah would be ideal in those tough situations.

Then bring in Umar, Afridi, Riaz/Azam to slog it out. Plus, I only put Adnan at 6 is because you have to give him a chance to try and prove his worth with the bat. Ofc, if we're near to the end of the innings you bring in Afridi, but if there's a long way to go, why not hold back Afridi?

I thought Razzaq had been dropped, but in actual fact he's been left out of squad by his own permisson. He says he has not recovered 100% from that shoulder injury. Why play in the big bash then?

Razzaq has a good record against England in one dayers and T20 so losing him is a blow.

+ since we will most likely only have 2 frontline seamer, he would have provided us with another...
