you need to chip in a bit to afford his wages.
"Ok then what if Ade was available for £8m and wages of £60k would you buy him from City?"
We need 20+ PL goals a season striker.
Given Spurs finances, that money could be better used in that task.
Adebayor to me is like Gio.
We have had a try. We've been encouraging. We've been patient.
But it just isn't working as we need. Sad, but there you go.

"A gooner posing as a Hanover fan"
Well, only REAL nutters like Mich pose as G00n fans (FACT !!! ) .
palmers - I dont really want to go there again to be honest, but it was pretty shocking
Ade has been like Pav and Crouch rolled into one, a mixture of both their worst points. We should have made it a 3 month loan.
At least Pav would have a few shots though, struggling to remember the last time Ade had a shot
LEE1PEN-
its a ways up the page now...but i can't believe bellers wasn't putting a shift in....on the training field, i thought it was more a case of...
macini not wanting to adapt a training programme for him for his moody knees......?!
RRP - If he had Pav's shot he'd be marginally better but like I say he's inherited the worst points from both of them; the laziness of Pav, and the Bambi legs of Crouch.
Agreed on that Spurtle
He looked so promising when he joined, but as i said, he is reminding me more and more of Crouch, but the difference is we know Ade has the quality, he just isn't showing it...and as for bringing in Saha
We need a major change in our strike force in the summer, regardless if me get CL football or not!
junction8 - the extra training wasn't high impact; it was tactics training particularly shape and formation.
This involves a lot of jogging around a pitch without the ball, and is very boring, and is an additional training slot; when players usually have free time. Bellamy thought he was above it.
However I see it as a vital part of Mancini's method, and it doesn't surprise me he refused to negotiate on that point.
Also Mancini lets the players know the time of training each day around 10pm the evening before. Annoying perhaps, but keeps the players on their toes, and makes it easier to spot those players who aren't using their down time responsibly or resting properly x
Junction 8
Nope, thats what bellers put out. The truth of the matter is that Mancini put in extra training and Tevez and Bellers complained about it. Bellers then refused to do the training citing his dodgy knees and mancini told him to do the new training and come back if there was a problem.
Bellers then says he never spoke to Mancini after that, in fact he actually said the manager never spoke to him I think expecting the manager to be at his beck and call. Mancini continued to play him during that first 6 months (seems in Bellers sanatised version he's forgotten that) because he did do the training.
Its like Tevez in some ways the truth changes depending on which point he wants to put across.

Mido > Pav > Saha
RRP - I said it before, but we've given ourselves a lot to do now in the summer with the underwhelming signings of Nelson and Saha. It's a big shopping list. We really need 2 new strikers, a new goalkeeper, a new centreback, or even 2, and possibly cover for right wing because Lennon seems to be out. We shouldn't have let it get to that stage.
Spurtle - I think its just me and you on this
Lots of work to do, the likes of Bentley, Jenas, Corluka, Bassong and Gio etc to come back as well and need to be moved on along with Pienaar (Silly purchase)...
We need a new strike force, have done for a while now...Gallas is gone as well, Nelsen, what do we do with him?...
A lot is depending on us getting CL football, but as each transfer window goes by im less confident of us doing business...And lets not forget we will have all the Bale and Modric interest to deal with as well
RRP - If only others had our intelligence
Quite right, we've skirted around important issues for too long now. It's not only the fact that they're necessary signings, it's a statement of intent also. We should be trying to show everyone, and I mean including our own players, that we're ambitious. If we're signing 30+ yr old freebies from relegation fodder it doesn't look that way.
We should have made a key signing in January and settled them in for the rest of the season.
We are the bright ones Spurtle
We have put off a lot over the last few seasons, trying to bring in short term fix's with no chance of a future. Either we are saving the money for a new manager/stadium or our finances are not in the best shape..we did make £33 million worth of PROFIT over the last year in the transfer market
Spot on! First thoughts on deadline day...Where is the ambition, Saha? Nelsen? REALLY?
Can only try and be positive and hope for the best in the summer window
Levy has been pulling it all together for securing Damiao.
A grain of rice @ RRP (I have been wasting stuff using a full ) .

RRP - And there's the CL money as well.
If the pair of Saha and Nelson work out then I will take my hat off to Redknapp and Levy, but I'm very doubtful they'll take us closer to winning the title which a top striker would have done. At worst we'll finish in the top 4 however those 2 do.
RDBD - I hope you're right, and that we get hold of Samba too, but a lot can change from now until the summer.
