Is there a stat for assists though?...

Nani is a player who has developed very well after a slow, nancy boy like, start. Ronaldo leaving was the best thing to happen to him but he still blows hot and cold for me. Needs to be more consistent but there is no doubt he is a match winner these days.

It does go to show that Diggler has made a large contribution to LFC in his time here though.

Kuyt 31 and played his peak years at Liverpool
Nani 25 and just beginning his peak years.

Wasn't Kuyt also played as a striker for his first few years under Rafa?

Kuyt 27 assists since 06/07, 21 since 07/08

nanis best assist was the header across his own goal when the afore mentioned dirk diggler scored his 2nd of three at anfield last season

Yeah but nani has a fair bit more to his game than just running round looking angry.

It is very hard to determine exactly what Dirks role really is.

He isn't a striker, and he isn't really a winger either.
