Poor international manager. Failed to qualify with Turkey.
Did a good job with Russia!

Hiddink is the best manager we could hope for
I have no idea why Capello was forced out. Madness.

However lead South Korea to the World Cup semi-finals in 2002 and lead Russia to the European Championship semi-finals in 2008.
Anyone else think Hiddink would be a good idea for the short term to take us to the Euro's?
------------------------------
No!
Having somoene who the Russian mafia favor would be like keeping Terry as captain. Too immoral.
England are no Saints, but they cannot plunge that low.
I think it's logic for the short term. Redknapp won't leave the spurs till the end of the season, and Hiddink did alright with Russia and Korea was it? Bar Turkey he's been successful everywhere he's been (even at Chelsea!)
Hiddink is just what England need right now, the guy's a genius. We should know that more than anyone.

When have morals ever come into action with the England setup? Terry? Ferdinand? Gerrard?
Does Redknapp have to leave Spurs to take over for the Euros?
Club managers are pretty redundant during the international friendlies week, so no issue with him taking it on then. He knows everything he needs to about most eligable players, probably sees as much of them as most international managers see of their players.

Rafa for England?

If i was a France or italy fan i would say yes
and i answered, infact fruck it let him go back to Pool or even better Man.City then were both winners

Exactly, the squads morals are bad enough. Do you want to see it get any worse?
comment by Sturridge's right foot, 3rd was midtable in 1999 (U1762)
Kenny is already ruining Liverpool anyway, but I hope City get Rafa so he can ruin them as well. Sell Aguero and replace him with a championship player

I'm not bothered (as such) about his reputation in other countries - if he could get England playing good football and atleast compete i'd be happy - also hasnt Redknapp just been on trial for tax evasion? Pretty immoral if you ask me

He was innocent! And if you cannot trust 12 random people to judge a complex trial, who can you trust?

Bit harsh on Redknapp. Wasn't it his cat running his account? Something like that anyway, i didn't find the case as interesting as everyone else.
I'd be happy for England to be immoral if we won... but we don't. So assuming we fail again, we should at least lose with dignity.
Much better than the way we lost in 2010
If Hiddink would take it for the short term, I'd give it to him for the long term as well. Harry's good by English standards but Hiddink is in a different league.
Agreed McParland - Hiddink would be top of the table right now I reckon with the current Spurs first team and squad.
Is he available though?
