from a contracted position at a top Premier League club to take on the England job

-----------------------

Don't worry Spurs aren't a top Premiership club.

There's no other man for the job tbh, than our 'Arry!

Spurs tapped up One Day Ramos, this is karma.

8bit, annoyingly, has a point...

'Don't worry Spurs aren't a top Premiership club'
In that case can you define Liverpool's current status please.

Rosie - no we didn't. We approached Portsmouth about speaking to Harry, and were given permission.

And actually I take back agreeing with 8bit about Ramos. As we also had permission to speak to him - the unsavoury part was that we still had aanager in place.

Should've read ' a manager'...

For all you know the FA don't even want 'Arry.

Didn't a similar thing happen with Juande Ramos?

@aggers right elbow, why are you buzzing around the spurs board all night since the cappello sacking .....First bit of straw clutching by you after your useless shower of a side Liverpool can't even get a sniff at spurs in the table so you cream yourself because you think spurs will lose there manager King keny

The FA on Harry: He's a triffic lad, we'd be lying if we said we wouldn't want him as England manager, but he's at Tottenham so we'll have to wait and see what 'appens.

Yep, Spurs are more than capable of tapping up managers as are any club. My point is that appointments shouldn't be made via the media.

the press want H R as England manager, until that happens they will try everything to achieve that.

unfortunately they have the power to make or break the England manager

posted on 8/2/12

I've seen no official quotes from the FA about Harry possibly taking the job so it's hardly an appointment by the media.

Agreed Lucas. The press decided that English managers were no good so we should get a big-name foreign boss 'cos they're so much better. That worked out well didn't it.

The FA have been so inept over the last 10 years that if every voice is saying Redknapp, Then it's gonna be pretty low-risk for them to go for him isn't it?

They have to go for Arry, all the other options don't come close.

its H R or flavour of the season so far Pardew

but lets be honest the FA will be offering H R the job at some point before the summer. and i suspect he will take it.

In the modern era, every manager good or bad gets hounded out of the England job by the press. its just a matter of time. Most have their reputations and careers ruined.

Personally i think this has come 2 years too early for harry. He has a lot to offer club management and to give him 4 years with Eng after the next world cup would be ideal for everyone.

in 2 years things might not be going well for Arry and he would have missed his chance, he wants the job so he'll take it.

Devon

I think you are correct. Its come too soon for him ideally, but I see the FA offering it to him, and I dont see him turning it down

out of interest who is spurs fans fav to take over should H R go?

I think the FA will appoint Caretaker until after Euro's, possibly Stuart Pearse, then appoint Harry to start.
