Harry won an FA cup once

One FA cup and in his mid 60's. Impressive.

How many European cups has Capello won?

Not sure 2 or 3? Do you know?

Has Capello won the FA Cup, or the Prem or the Carling Cup?

Capello has the best Win record of any English manager. Even including the great Sir Alf Ramsey

posted on 8/2/12

He's won 9 league titles (Spain and Italy) Spanish Cup, Scudetto and CL.

Redknapp has won one FA Cup.

One was responsible for the most embarrassing display by an England team at a World Cup and the other is called Harry

Capello will be higher, because the clubs he has managed are much bigger.

One placed Gareth Barry in midfield against Montenegro at home - a match which i was unfortunate enough to attend - and despite the worst individual performance I have ever seen from an England player, continued to pick him afterwards.

Slightly rephrased;

One placed Gareth Barry in midfield against Germany at South Africa - a match which i was unfortunate enough to attend - and despite the worst individual performance I have ever seen from an England player, continued to pick him afterwards.

You can sum up most of Barrys Englands performances that way

Did you really attend it? Why?

I don't understand why anyone would buy tickets to watch England play.

Capello failed when it really mattered.

I personally don't think Redknapp is the right man for the job like most people seem to think. I would like to see either Guus Hiddink or unlikely as it may be, Jose Mourinho to take charge of England.

It is a bit unfortunate for Capello because we were beginning to get some good results under him against the likes of Spain and Sweden even if they weren't the greatest of performances but the players in those games showed more passion than I'd seen from an England team in a while. He'd also begun to show a bit more faith in youth, whether he would've followed that through into the European Championships, we'll never know now, but it did seem that we were beginning to turn a bit of a corner under him.

Could it be that some people are passionate about their country, even if they don't happen to play great football?

He promised these things before South Africa in 2010.

Then, he selected the same group of tried and failed warhorses as ever. When i saw Carricks name on the list, i knew he's gone back on his promises and we'd fail.

Lets stop making bull excuses for him, he was not a very good England manager, and his club record didn't assist him at all in this job.

Very shorted sighted to compare club records.

We have had two very, very good club managers in Capello and Sven.... They have been woeful in tournament football.

Redknapp is by far the best English manager we have and has shown his worth at every club he has been at. He has brought through many of England's best young players. Ideal.

Don't be naive, we all know most of them go for a good drink up

That parts fun, but whilst we all love our clubs most of these people don't feel the same way about England.

Carrick back then may not have been in the best form to be selected for England, now though he should definetely be selected because of the form he's in at the moment and he should definitely go to Euro 2012 if he's still playing this well at the end of the season.

maybe Carrick was picked beacuse he was playing very well, and still is........what the hell has age got to do with things??? If the player can make a difference then he plays......ask Fergie if Scholes and Giggs are past it being a manager is all aboit getting the best out of the players you have, the the age of the team!

Any manager that selects Barry over Carrick should resign.

If that is your opinion, then fair enough, but it doesn't make it a fact.

------------------------

At that time Carrick wasn't playing well, and had no right to be in the squad. His selection totally went against Capellos mantra of 'picking players on form.'

He's had a better season this time, so maybe he'll get in?

I have no doubt that Harry would get England to perform much better than they did under Capello.

Read that statement and see if you disagree with it. What Capello has won on his tour of Europe doesn't come into it.
