What good negotiators Bayern have.

You make a good point, our transfer negotiations are poor, but it is much harder negotiating when your opponents know you have loads of money and a track record for overspending on players.

They were also helped by the fact that he wanted to go there....

We're still rubbish at signing players, even with our track record.

City got Silva and Kun without having to spend Torres type money.

In all fairness I don't think City have spent stupid transferr fees on many players. Its just their crazy wages on offer but that alone bears no advantage to the selling club.

City also spent £24mil on MIlner,£22mil on Lescott when the selling club knows they have money in abundance they will use it to their advantage and rightly so.

I have no problems with £24 million on Milner, when Henderson, Downing and Young are going for around £20 mill. Milner would cruise into most teams in Europe!

How about 22 mil for Nasri in the last year of his contract?!! Or for Lescott?!!

true that was bad business, although Lescott is performing now and Everton never wanted to sell so as long as he plays well its ok with me!

Well we all know that English players go for silly money. 24million for Nasri in his last year is not too bad imo. He's still worth that much if City decide to sell him.

I dont get it

Why is it an English thing that players are overpriced?

Transfers between two spanish clubs of a spanish player dont have the same overpricing as it does when it involves an english club/players.

Because the English league is loaded and everyone knows it.

Also because you're mugs who will pay big money.

Sturridge could do with some

He's a greedy lil player is Sturridge.

Don't mind greed with grit. He's as frail as Robben in contact

Rewatched the Utd game TCP. He just hogs the ball for a good minute doing turns and then shoots wide.

Also our players are dumb in possession of the ball.

Maybe thats why he hogs the ball so much.

Malouda you can understand, he always did it. But Sturridge is younger and should be told before games. Reminds me of Joe Cole and Jose. Maybe the hook before half time might switch on the brain

Crouch, Carroll and Heskey. English grit at its best. Have Allardyce as the England boss and you'll see them three as the front pairing for the Euros.
