This shows turnover, not balance. i.e. how much capital a club generates before costs are taken into account. Arsenals running costs (debt etc) dont come into the equation.
These stats show just how crucial CL qualification is, and Liverpool alongside either Arsenal or Chelsea will struggle as they will lack the financial clout given by CL qualification.
Financial experts predict city will overtake spurs an Liverpool into the top ten next year.
Would be surprised if you didnt Cityblue
Rocket surgery... Those figures show the revenue figures for the year just gone.
Liverpool were not and are not in the champions league.
Chelsea and Arsenal will definitely struggle.
it will all change over the next 3 years anyway...

Exactly, I expect that City will be in the top 10 next season, its almost a certain, and if Spurs make CL this season and next and Liverpool fail to qualify in the next 2 seasons then Spurs will overtake Liverpool, and again which ever team is replaced by Spurs, most likely Arsenal then it will probably only be a matter of time before City and Spurs over take them as well.
Haha, Chelsea are actually in 6th place
Yes but I have it on good authority that Roman has just found another half a billion down the back of the chair in his office.

As much as it pains me to say it, if Real and Barca didn't have that advantage, Man Utd would be top by a mile.
------------------------------------------------------
I had heard somewhere that this would be stopping in the next couple of years and that TV rights would be sold and managed collectively like the premiership. If it happens could be interesting, in more ways than one. e.g. What if La Liga replaces the premiership as the league to follow?

It already is in many parts of the world.
The reason Madrid and Barca are so far ahead of the rest in La Liga is largely down to the fact they sell their own rights. Unfortunately, this won't be changing anytime soon.
In fact, a Liverpool Chies Exec recently released statements to the effect of; big PL clubs are falling behind the likes of Barca & Madrid, and if the PL don't start sharing the rights fairly (e.g more people want watch Man Utd than Norwich, so Utd should get a higher share), then clubs will look to sell their own rights, or even break away from the PL. And so talk of a superleague came about.
It's more likely that PL will start selling their own rights, than La Liga evenly distribute theirs.

Like Liverpool I doubt either would struggle for a year, prolonged absence would impact any of the three of them of course or any of those at the top but like Tottenham and to a lesser degree Newcastle are proving, CL money doesn't gaurantee you that much.

And he didn't use them any offensive, racist Spanish words?? Sack him, clearly not fit to be a chief exec at Liverpool!

A cloaked comment for you Culty
City will be up there with Chelsea and Arsenal once the ground naming rights, Champions League and kit deal are factored in next season
I thought the naming rights was to be investigated by UEFA. I am not passing judgment on whether they are right to do so. Again, why all the emphasis on revenue when some clubs have more going out than coming in ?
THe naming rights and shirt sponsorship deal were approved by UEFA before the contracts were signed so no worries there.
The emphasis is on revenue because the list is based on revenues - Quite simple really.

You think EUFA will every enforce their rules on Fair Play?
They will have sponsers for Academy, Shirts, Tracksuits, Socks, Shoes, everything possible if they need to push cash into the club. And funnily enough all these sponsers will be from the middle east.
EUFA are as corrupt as FIFA, bribes wouldn't even be out of the question.
I don't know busby, but I don't think they would have gone to all this trouble and expense ( lawyers and accountants etc) and allow clubs to walk all over the rules. I am not saying ways won't be found round it, but I live in hope.
I'd imagine people won't even remember the fair play rules come 2015.
It's certainly impossible for a club such as City to ay the wages they currently are without money being pumped into the club, unless of course a 'sponsorship' of £400m comes about again....!
United get more sponsorship money for their training kit off DHL than City get off Etihad so UEFA are unlikely to be too bothered.
Boris, I think it has to do with whether it is a proper sum for the naming rights or sponsorship. If a club signs a billion pound naming rights deal, then it clearly would be a sham.

The deal that City got with Etihad included the devolpment of the land around Eastlands, the actual shirt and naming rights part of the deal are modest when compared to what other clubs (like Liverpool) have struck.

So where does the money for the most expensive wage bill in football come from?
