A superb run, lets hope it continues.5 goals conceded in 16 games is fantastic, the defence has vastly improved from the start of the season and deserve huge credit.
It is a superb run.
The thing that gives us bears hope tho is that despite us being utterly rank rotten....this amazing run has only put you four points ahead
Four points ahead from 15 behind*
We'll lose a game sooner or later, but I think that Rangers will drop far more points than we will.
Can only see injury stopping us now. I know its only 4 points but still.
Given the way we threw it away last season I think the players will be up for it.
We werent 15 points in front at the start of the season......point is, its taken this run for you to catch up and get in front by a small margin
pie
thing is mate we're winning these games in 2nd gear, we can move up a notch when we need to
a wee kick up the backside after a minute last night boom boom boom 3-0 n its easy street after that
Mind the Gap, Stevie
Not a reckless gap but, a bona fide one nevertheless
Just think what the gap could've been if you didnt have a 15 point defecit to make up
The first game in that run was away to Motherwell and I remember some papers were calling it the battle for 2nd place.
thats because rangers had great start we are having good middle
its all about the finish mate
some gers fans had the league won in october/november
some celtic fans have the league won in feb
but all fair minded people know its not over till the fat lady sings
subo back in yer hoose till yer asked ti come oot!!

There'd be a Gap oan the Ibrox bench...where McCoist used to sit
We had Europa games earlier in the season which distracted us a little bit andwe had a few injuries to key players. Rangers, on the other hand, hit the ground running because they still had Walter's winning mentality and an almost full roster of players to choose from.
Fast forward a few months: Celtic gained from the Europa experience and have a full squad to pick from.
Rangers are now shaped in Ally's mode and have a couple of injuries to key players.
The momentum is definitely with us and the title is ours to throw away.
the season changed the minute naismith got injured
i havnt got the stats but since he got injured rangers have dropped lots of points
they may have still dropped points but not as many as you have without him
the season changed the minute naismith got injured
+++++
What had that to do with Celtic's turnaround?
Was ne not part of the set-up that lost to:
Malmo
Maribor
Falkirk Youths?
Yeah he's an important player but...he was no Gascoigne
We also achieved this turnaround when they had Jelavic in their team
yes but jelavic was not the same player when naismith got injured they worked well together and drove team on
massive player to lose bit like us losing izzy at start of season
although we have got better the first month without him we were terrible
Harry, we won 3-1 against Falkirk
The record is twenty-five, under Martin O'Neill. I'm not expecting anything, but since we are more than half way there I thought I should bring it up.
Amazing turn around, sixteen domestic wins in a row, which makes it twenty domestic games without defeat.

I agree he but he still netted 14 times in the first half of the season. That's what they're going to be missing in the 2nd half.

It's a fantastic run and only 5 goals conceeded (unless you count Wallace and Elliott )
Keeping Maj and Glenda out the team really does work wonders
St3vie - Thing is, Rangers are struggling from game to game.
As Ghodfather said, we haven't been out of 2nd gear in most of our matches.
When we have had a fully fit squad, we have been unstopable.
We needed to step up a gear last night, and we beat hearts 4-0 at Tynecastle. Then look at our bench, and the boys that didnt even make our bench.
Rangers' top goalscorer is Naismith, unless you are willing to count Jelavic, but since I am speaking practically then that is their main source of goals. Since he is injured, your next main source of goals is Lafferty with six goals, after that, I don't know?
In the first three months of the season, Celtic dropped points in 5 matches, including an old firm defeat.
In the second three months of the season, Rangers dropped points in 5 matches, including an old firm defeat.
2 draws at Ibrox for Rangers earlier on in the season (Hearts and St Mirren) is all thats separating the sides....thats what the thing is
When you have had a fully fit squad you have been good yes.....but you are not unbeatable, and its been three months since you dropped a single point...its going to happen soon
You hope...it's all you have left
