Oh Ted, don't be so naive.
Of course he'll take it when offered
************
Why?
Ted I think he will take it, everything you have said is right by the way it is a poison chalice, but managers always think they can do better than the last one.
Arry's first task would be to choose a capitaine ....
Ha Ha ....
Now that Capello has declared Terry too much of a thug for that position will the next manager have to leave him out altogether?
How about ... oh dear ... Rooney for captain?
The job is one big headache.
Why would arry do it?
Just to watch Russia or Italy of Spain tear his team apart?
Harry himself said it would be difficult for any English manager to turn down, for me or you it would be a straight forward no ta, but I think he is old school and still thinks its the top job on this country.
Well, I will say one thing ........ the final decision on this, yeah or nay, will rest with ...... Sandra.
Lets hope they offer it to ..... the Special One!
I am intrigued on Terry Neill i thought he was hated, is this incorrect?
It is a strange one for me, i really appreciate what Harry has done for us but the only reason i am now bothered if he leaves is that there is seemingly no good manager waiting out there. For example, Ancelotti and O'neill who would have surely been contenders are tied up in new jobs.
I cannot help but feel with our squads starting with the 2006/2007 season we are not exactly punching above our weight merely progressing in the manner you would expect of a football club our size.
I am not for one moment being ungreatful to Mr Redknapp or meaning to start some sort of argument!
Wong, I would not be overly worried about Harry taking the England job if a decent replacement could be found. But there is such a dire shortage of decent managers that we are liable to end up with somebody like Sam Allardyce or David Moyes, or even worse Tony Pulis.
Hopefully Daniel Levy will not let us down though, and the right appointment should Harry leave be made.
I didnt think terry Neill was very popular either. maybe some of our older posters can tell us more? I thought he sold Jennings to them lot down the road, then i saw a progrham where Burkinshaw claimed it was the worst thing he did a spurs manager.
It not a matter of a decent replacement.
We have a management team. Its a whole team. At Pool when Arry was off in court, the team kept us in the game.
We've got something that works.
Dont mess with it, I say.
No other manager in history would of spent £100 million taking the side from 5th to 4th and then been heralded as a messiah!
(this season ain't over yet)
£100m where did that figure come from?
How much money has old Harry spent on players? Check it out!
Still he probably got a nice cut from the deals
I have to say I was astounded to find out from the court case that he received money from transfer deals....what kind of nonsense is that, taking the clubs money when he has a massive salary and is an employee. That's the clubs money and he took it willingly. Look at the state he left the club in
How much has the club got back in that time? you can show half truths to show any thing.
As for the court case, not our problem, time to move on mate.
Neill was a waste of time.............he took over from Bill Nicholson in 1974 and we only just escaped relegation in '76..................................he then left. Keith Burkinshaw was the manager who sold Jennings to Arsenal.

"They were discussing plans for next season"
Like selling the land to developers to pay for his court loss to Boris.
"No other manager in history would of spent £100 million taking the side from 5th to 4th"
1. GROSS or NET ??
2. Spurs where 20th when Arry took over.
They finished in the bottom half of the table the season before that.
Never. Facts. Way. Good. Story. Eh.
Losing Harry was inevitable so why all the controversy. We always knew he would be off in the summer.
The big worry is the replacement and if DL gets that right then we will continue to progess.
