Ha ha Rover very cheeky. I'm sure the England fans with a sense of humour will appreciate its tongue in cheek nature.
That said in fairness to the English public a lot of them do get behind the Boys in Green as their second team when he get to the Finals of major tournaments (all too rare an occurence i admit)
Thanks for your contribution Mr Mourinho.
I can add 'we have a sense of humour' to the list now
Think your being a bit generous with your assesment of the FAI there all the same!!!
As an NI fan, stop laughing,I have lived in England and many English folk would back ROI when England are not involved.................I doubt this sporting English and British attitude goes both ways. Why is that?
Funny post though, but I think Carr could take Norton in a fair dig.Nice one Wild Rover.
Nah i've no problem seeing England doing well
Come on.
Well done Sir,but you know what I refer to.Not all have moved on.
I think the Scots are worse than the Irish Bluebell for cheering on the opposition against England.
Had to laugh when i read somewhere that sales of the Argentina jersey took off in Glasgow after Maradona's "hand of God" against England in 1986!!!
I suppose from a Footballing sense the England/Scotland rivalry goes back a lot longer than the Ireland/England rivalry.
The first time we played them wasn't until the 1940's while the Scots first played England in 1872 (the worlds first international match in fact)
Stephen Hunt is a ****
Ooohh Aahhh....Fintona (y it's in the N but ..)
Our manager is not a tax dodger (too old to pay tax)
We let you have our best football player (Rooney!) can you take him back?
Jack Charlton is a legend and English
We let you have our best snooker player (O’Sullivan!) ...so?
We let you have our best TV presenter (Wogan!)... ditto
Guinness... not what it was, keep it.
Ashley Cole is not Irish... pity
We won’t make any excuses if we are crap! just blame a Frenchman
We don’t care whether we win, lose or draw ... ye you do.
Our FA is not full of idiots (only one!)... i'll give you that one, fair point
U2 are better than Coldplay ... bit like saying Mcdonalds fries are better than Bk's. Both ultimately crap and leaving you feeling ripped off.
Bewitched are better than the Spice Girls... eeeer
We have Georgia Salpa, you have Jordan.. Oh god you're right, the only woman in England IS Jordan, dammit!
We have Roy Keane, you have Jamie Redknapp (oh..dear!) . We have Jamie Redknapp, you have Roy Bipolar Keane, (Oh dear!)
Our rugby teams emblem is a shamrock, yours is a rose (how gay is that….!!) Its a flower, yours is a weed.
We have the Scots and Welsh on our side, you have nobody . Just the way we like it . You need to feel wanted or summat? aaawww bless!
To us 1966 is just a year.
Graham Norton is better than Alan Carr. Quote: OP : "how gay is that"?
Hats off Richie,great response.
I will be supporting England.
Great response! Not really Richie sounds a bit angry to be honest
Bluebell why would you support England instead of Ireland seeing as you are from Ireland!
Come on
I am from Norn Iron,a member of the GAWA,supporting the Ulstermen since 79 and Eire are the rivals south of the border.Do keep up..........you must have seen some mention of this situation.
I back Ulster in rugby too, rather than Munster for example,as it is my home, where I am from.
I lived in London and support Chelsea also and have a soft spot for England in the world cup etc,if NI are not there, which is the case most times.
I hope ROI do ok and the fans have a laugh, but I am not a fan.
Fair enough perfectly understandable! But why are Roi fans who don't support NIreland when they are playing called "NIreland" haters" and i'm not suggesting you use this term.
Daft banter from NI fans and bigotry from both sides leads to hate comments I suspect.
Exactly well said. Its only Football banter. I hope O'Neill turns things around for NIreland because I have sympathy for the genuine Football loving OWC fans. The last year must have been torture for ye lads!
No I don't want England to do well, perhaps I am bitter, but it is not to do with the history side of things. It is the cocky attitude they have to every other nation and league in the world, which makes their failure all the more funny!
