No way will Harry bench Ade. He may not have been scoring of late, but Spurs are still getting results with him as an integral part of the team. Why change a winning formula.

Mr Grimsdell is spot on, there is no way will Harry bench Ade tomorrow.

Harry won't bench Ade. though since xmas, he has been very poor, his performances against Watford and Pool were as bad as any Pavlyuchenko appearances.

his touch, workrate, goals have disappeared.

i was far from happy with the signing of Saha, but would not object to him and Defoe starting tomorrow

Spurcat, do you think ade should get dropped?

posted on 10/2/12

To be fair Ade isn't banging in the goals but his build up play to goals is pure class.

IMO harry will start Ade with Defoe but Harry should bench him .

I said Harry will start Ade but of late he has been poor . I would drop him, might do him the world of good to sit on the bench .

Sea-the-stars

His biuld up play has been average at best .

When he benches him is when he sulks and we never play him again.

The only things missing from Ade's game currently are goals...........................the rest of his game is good.

Why we need to fix something that isn't broken, i can't begin to understand.

Saha is good to have as an impact sub & I think he will bring something to our CL push.

do some of you guys watch the games ade has been lazy and rubbish for weeks

posted on 10/2/12

I'd rather have Mido then Ade right now

posted on 10/2/12

I'm sure he hasn't been fully fit for weeks, he was even a doubt up to play against Pool, although he obviously started.
Against 'Pool he was walking around at times, so different compared to before Xmas when he was charging around chasing everything and closing down defenders putting them under loads of pressure. Definitely hasn't been working his nuts off like he was, a spot on the bench might make him pull his finger out

I think he has definitely been carrying an injury of some type because he still seems upbeat & smiles a lot. Just think we tend to get impatient with people at Spurs. He has been an enormous boost to the squad this season.

weare............I don't think he has been rubbish at all and I have watched every game so far this season.

Well I would have to agree with the majority Ade has been slightly above atrocious in the last few games.

If people have failed to notice just how bad his control has been and how many times he gives the ball away they really should sky + games and watch them 2 or 3 times.

At pool he was poor and at Watford he was even worse

unfortunately Defoe as a lone striker just doesnt work, dont think dropping VDV for Saha and 442 is good either - lennon back should see us return to our normal pattern of play

agree he should bench him. agree he wont.

Think you need to eat your words.................great play by Ade for both our goals V Newcastle so far!!

Another assist by Ade!!! 3-0

And another last touch by Ade for Krancjar to score.................lillywhite, how are you feeling now????

posted on 11/2/12

5-0...................and guess who lillywhite?

posted on 11/2/12

Why have a pop at lillywhite ? Ok I would not have benched Ade but before today he had been poor for a while.

Full credit to him today he had a good game but its not before time.

Does anyone think with Arry possibly going etc, Saha on loan etc, that Adebayor might have finally got the message what is at stake for him if Spurs decline further involvement at season end ??

posted on 11/2/12

granspurs....................................Because he was strongly in favour of dropping Ade, even though he has not been on top form he brings a different dynamic to the team, even when we change formation.

Today showed his full repertoire and boy was he good.

genius

To be fair dropping Ade (before watching him today) was not that bad a call he had been very poor for a fair time.

I would not have called for him to be dropped personally because before Saha he was the only decent option we had for the way Harry has us playing.

I can understand why fans would suggest it to be honest and altho he is still our best option to play up front at the moment I am still not his greatest fan and do think we should be looking to sign better in the summer personally.
