Sunderland have sold Darren Bent and Jordan Henderson in the last 6 months for around £40m. I suggest their bosman deals are high in fees and wages. They have more REAL cash than us.
pratley ment to be coming but again the club not even told us or confirmed this.

The Bolton News states that he is officially signing when the window opens
Let's not get too down about this situation, guys. We can't sign anyone yet as the window ain't open.
Coyle will by now know who he wants to sign and he has kept quiet for a reason; to not get gazumped by other clubs.
Coyle and the board will move when the time is right
Let's not kid ourselves that we will spend big money on players, we won't. I have full confidence in a good summer for BWFC with Coyle at the helm. I really think signing players is his forte.
How many times do people have to say "the window isn't open yet" before others catch on?
I've seen Pratley play a couple of times and looks a quality acquisition by OC.
Korean lad?...is that the guy whose friends with lee? the STRIKER...nope, dont know what your on about...why do you even think someone who plays for the same international squad as lee and has seen him develop in to a world class player even be slightly interested in coming here? your stupid if you think the club would even consider looking at him...hes over 16 years old and has played first team football before
besides...we dont even need a striker!
<imbiengsarcasticasfooksmiley>
does anyone else find it a bit fishy that the club have closed the early purchase deadline BEFORE the transfer window opens too? hmmm....
Rebel, we did lose 34 million last year.
Financially, we are performing as bad as Greece and it wouldn't suprise me if we have a frugal summer, regardless of a Cahill sale.
Good managers can handle this scenario tho'.
Nice to see Bricks and Rebel in discussion... Starting to feel like home this place..
Hope you're both well...
Very well & same to you Mallorca
Nice to see a lot of us have migrated from 606 and great to see some new faces as well.
We seem to be doing ok with the amount of posters on here and the site doesn't seem too politically correct or as intrusive.
Long may it continue.
haha...hi mallorca
if me and bricks agreed it wouldn't be the same...
i know we have no money to spend but our squad is threadbare, i cant see us signing more than the 5/6 players we need with quality, again, we will end up with the dregs of the transfers even some championship clubs are not interested in....i was talking to my mate when we was filing out our season ticket forms, i stated i think we are going to be in SERIOUS trouble this season...i hope i dont feel the same come august, but i just have a bad feeling about iit...
Talreet Rebel.
How's your nipper ?
With QPR, Norwich & Swansea dipping their toes in the Prem for the first time and Wigan & Wolves, I don't think we need to spend to survive.
Need a striker tho' under 30!
I hope Swansea go down. No other reason other than they are a Welsh football team.
I'll expand on that...
How come when they played Reading in the play-off final, the people in charge could not play "God Save the Queen" because it upset the Welsh?
Don't get me wrong, it is not the right song to play for football matches, but once people are offended by football tradition, then don't join the league.
Same with those pub teams up north that fly every flag apart from their own..
Rant over...
May I share your rant Mallorca.
They want it both ways. Europe through being Welsh & English Football League as well.
They wont be happy until they get a rendition of "Men of Harlech" @ Wembley.
Could be worse tho', like I'm talking Scottish!!
Could be worse tho', like I'm talking Scottish!!
Oh,you mean the "Disney League"
Rebel. You are forgetting that we have some youngsters making the step up from reserves. We have the lad from Oldham (Yates?, sorry I forget his name) who is being groomed to take over from SKD, Vela, Blakeman and a host of other youngsters. I know a lot on here will say they aren't ready, but these train with the first team, so they will be making more appearances this coming season.
Yeah, we need experience cover in 3 places. OC says 6 new faces will be coming in. Have faith Rebel. Things are going to be ok at fortress Reebok!
I see the Reebok Rebel is in his usual positive mood; just what the team will need at the start of the new season supporters who think we are going to get relegated. Moan moan moan thats all he ever does; we are a small town club with not much money so we will always shop in the bargain basement. If you want it any different than that, as I have said before, go an buy your red patent leather trainers and go watch that lot who play in Salford Keys. Sunderland have signed two players from a club that got relegated so how is that going to improve their team ! As for the Korean lad if he is so good why has no one bought him before, the only decent signing Steve Bruce has ever made was Darren Bent and then he had to sell him. The transfer window open yet, the Cahill situtaion is still to be resolved and you are moaning because we havn't signed six world class players. Go on just clear off and go and support the Mancs as we need supporters like you like we need a trip to the dentist.
Burnden, that's a bit rough on the lad. We all have our opinions, so live and let live.
Superwhiteinexile -have no problems with opinions but when he is making comments such as "Thiago is too old at 19 for OC's team as he is looking to build an U12s team" the red mist comes down, he comes out with absolute negative drivel posting after posting. He is at it again this morning sggesting that the BEN article about bids for Mills and Moreno is just a deception by the club.

i understand that your one of the 'i was there in the 4th division' fraternity and sue to that you suffer from the same 'holier than thou' mindset the rest of them do. you feel it makes you more of a fan, in fact - your lot appear to WANT us to go back down to league 2 you go on about it that much!
telling me to go and support united because i have a whinge and moan that we are premiership paupers in unjustified - do you whinge or have a strop after we have just been hammerd by stoke at wembley? do you not feel slightly aggravated that the spread of wealth in the premier league is just, well, pathetic? does it not annoy you when we miss out on players because other clubs have better finances in place to pay them triple the wages we will? does it not annoy you that manchester city/united and chelsea are stockpiling all the cream of the world footballing talent to prevent them signing for other clubs, having them sat on the bench paying them 100 grand a week making them feel like they are worth that IF they was to move on? does the pathetic end to the season we sufferd not also annoy you?
the reason i have a moan and a whinge is becasue i want the club to do well and succeed, yes you can say ive jumped on the 'success' bandwagon (im only 26 years old so i couldnt have been there in the 4th division, but im sure the great sense of wellbieng it gives you is amazing) but the truth of the matter is...im FROM bolton - THATS the reason why i support them, i have held a season ticket since i was 16, regardless of what league we are in i will still have one - yes il moan like fook when the inevitable relegation comes - ive seen bolton relegated before, ive seen them lose cup finals etc - not as bad as bieng in the football leagues lowest tier granted, but it does not make me any less of a fan than you.
apologies for whining about stuff, but its becasue i want the best for my club - the same you want the best for your childeren/grandkids etc...
not bieng funny with you, but the attitude of some of the old guard really does get my goat, you seem happy settling for medicricy and i feel some of you would actually prefer it if we had 200 watching us play torquay united on a tuesday night...

oh yes...and that was sarcasm...
Thank you for pointing out the sarcasm otherwise I would have missed it. I am afraid we can do nothing about the financial imbalance in the Premiership until we find our own Arab billionaire until then we will have to do with Messrs Davies and Gartside who have kept us in the top league for 11 years. You are going to have to come to terms that clubs like ours will always lose more than we win especially the further we advance in competitions; we just don't have the money to compete for the Phil Jone's of this world. Our only chance of getting better is to find more Stuart Holdens or bring through youngsters. However getting back to your original postings I am on your case because you are moaning about OC not bring in 5/6 players before the transfer window hass even opened - you really couldn't make it up.

Burnden, I think everyone knows that Rebel is a drama queen. And I say that hoping Rebel will acknowledge that. There are many posters on here with varying degrees of confidence in our club.
Let's not witchhunt on every thread where Rebel is negative. One, because you'll be busy and two, he's as entitled to him opinion as much as anyone..
Come September, we can slate Rebel, or he can justify his current negative slant.
But I'd like to remind you all, Rebel is a Bolton Wanderers fan.
Just a bloody miserable one!

Silly season is building nicely with the intense heat of the summer ! and the transfer window opens the end of the week. Then you will no doubt return in a panic asking why have we not signed anybody come next Monday morning.
Don't we just love silly season but spare a thought for that TV show that led the way.
