I think the problem, today, was the 4-4-2 formation. We find a formation that was working, we were getting results, then v Norwich away at 0-0 and at the start today we go 4-4-2. We looked over run in midfield all day today. One up front is not always more defensive. It allows the like of Mark Davies to commit to forward runs, without leaving us exposed. I'd never boo the team, and hate the fickle posters here who knock Coyle every time we lose, but today he got it wrong.
I can see the temptation for Gartside to act right now or not at all and accept our fate.
Managerial contracts are up this summer, FA Cup break and a couple of 'not winnable' games coming up.
He will know, like any chairman, that a new manager is usually worth a good boost in points and could be the last chance to throw the dice in staying up or not.
Coyle did seem to find the system we were best suited to and we found some new confidence and results, but in the last 2 games, he's just thrown it all away and we're right back to where we were before Xmas, when he should have been replaced imo.
never agreed with you of late bricks, thought you had gone rather negative, but coyles formation today shows you could be right.
It's not just you that does not get it. Neither does coyle.
