He was fantastic yesterday, excellent defensively and looked confident on the ball. It's good to see him playing well as he's come under so much criticism this year, not all of it deserved. Rafael also looked excellent yesterday, so long as he stays fit I can see him being our RB for many years to come.
He's looked really good on the ball recently as well.
I've been critical of Evans in the past and sometimes described him as "a mistake waiting to happen." But over the past few months he has put in some great performances and shows you what an extended run in the team and some confidence can do for a player. Hope it continues because he does have genuine potential and I hope he can go on to realise that potential.
I like the fact that Utd's defenders don't just needlessly hoof the ball forward now, they just pass it around to keep hold of possession, we weren't use to do this.
Mr Tea
Utd defenders haven't been hoofing the ball upfield as a general rule for years. We leave that to Stoke, Bolton and Liverpool.
Hansen talked nonsense saying Evans has been in the wilderness behind Smalling and Jones. Evans has been ahead of those 2 at cb all season, and for a reason. He had a bad start to the season but has been brilliant since.
