Harry will be watching, could be a bargain or two where a few million could go missing........
Yeah watching it. Zambia are matching the ivory coast
Out of interest, when are the players expected back at their clubs? Will the winning team be allowed to celebrate with a few beers?
For the Toure brothers, no chance. We all know how Mancini is like...
Apparently Wenger has said he wants Gervinho back for their next match, so no time to party at all.
Hmmm. I'm not sure about Mancini. City have Porto away on Thursday. Do you think they will have enough time & energy to fly from Africa to Manchester, attempt to acclimatise and recoop from jet lag in time to make it fully fit for the match? I think it would be better man management to expect them back in time for the return leg in Manchester with a couple of days downtime after the match.
I mean, it could really boost their morale giving them a taste of victory, and the celebrations that follow, leaving them craving more. I can't really see any player being in a great mood if they are whisked away from their national team mates hours after winning a competition, flying halfway around the world to land in Manchester (yuck!) and trying to accliamatise to these conditions!
"Salomon Kalou not happy at being substituted. He was also not happy at being left out of the starting line-up for the quarter-final. He was one of the first on the team bus after the win over Equatorial Guinea, along with Tiote who also didn't start. The duo had to be persuaded to go back by officials and head to the bus with the rest of the team"
Guessing Tiote & Kalou won't be at all bothered about sticking round for a beer then! haha!
Great penalty from Drogba and the Ivory Coast are ahead!
Great tackle in the box from TOure!
That was a ridiculous decision to make him retake the pen.
That Zambia keeper Mweene is a class act.
Incredible penalties by the way. When did an england shootout ever go past 5 each?
That was great. They deserve it.
ZAMBIA!!
For Ivory Coast...there's always next year...
