Aye well, we still dont know how things will transpire. If we get hammered with a massive Bill HMRC will not pull any punches in trying to reclaim that money. Thats what worries me.

heres hoping we can come out of admin, yet to here the tax verdict but can't be good if whyte has ordered this move. one thing...why now? i'm not daft enough to think this wasn't highly probable but why now? why not at the start of the season? at least we know why he didn't spend money in the summer on new players and why he gave out new contracts, seems as though he hasn't been as honest with the fans as he should have been!

Some people have said that it is to get HMRC to move on it and to rush the decision. This is just hopeful thinking.

I knew it was probable its just really sad to see something you love so much in the myre. I always gave Whyte the benefit of the doubt, like he has a master plan, maybe against my better judgement. He always maintained that administration is a possibility and i accepted that, however, i dont know finances, i dont know Administration, i dont know business full stop.

What i do know is seeing it in black and white coming from a source that isnt a Celtic fan, hurts badly.

Our finances have to be sorted. This is a step in the right direction to getting them sorted. It is hard to take, but sometimes you have to make hard decisions that are detrimental in the shirt term but will benefit us long term. Hopefully the tax decision is announced shortly then we know exactly where we stand

Even when we arent buying players, im allright. Id seriously question Whytes acumen if he were to pump millions into a business that could potentially go bust.

The thing Whyte did say is that there will be no compromise over the tax case either we win it outright or go into admin, which spells that he doesnt really have a ha'penny tae rub but then again, if i had a stockpile of scores then i wouldnt be telling HMRC where i was keeping them untill after the club are out of the myre, however, as Craig Whyte is a venture capitalist i dont see his plans being that long term.

I posted this on another thread, mere speculation, but trying to look at it step by step from the little info that we have.

Forgive me for not believing our biggest rivals fans could report on something without an agenda.

To be fair, £49m is a HUGE hole in any clubs finances, and noone can really run a football club with that hanging over them unless they have a magic ball to look into the future.
This tax mess was meant to be sorted by November, and then again by January and the fact it's still running on, is probably what has forced this to a head.

The reason it is now is so that there is the chance of getting back out before the deadline for Europe. Wait any longer and we'd be ineligible for Europe next season.

The club needs direction, it can't continue like this and HMRC delays in November have brought it to a head prior to the announcement of the tax case.
