We have no plans to take on moderators at the moment, but it depends on how hectic things become once the old 606 closes,(we don't want to count any chickens). We have had a few emails from people asking the same thing. Our apologies for us not having taken the time to get back to those who have clearly sought to help us out.
Ok thanks for the clarification.
I would just like to state here and now, that I would not wish to be associated with any forum that would have me as a moderator (to paraphrase Groucho Marx)
PS. No smilies??
I will happily be a moderator. I am highly respected on all F1 forums.
Having known EL_NANDO from several forums, I can confirm that he is a highly respected, knowledgeable user that would be the best possible choice for moderator.
I second Jose Lorca's proposal.
if any of you above posters (apart from malc) were to become mods this site would become a joke!
Making LewisWDC or Jose (or one of his MULTIPLE accounts) a mod would be one of the biggest mistakes you could make, srsly. Just look at reg 606 to see. It would be like making Hitler a Chief Rabbi!
Loser jorca the rim manager was sacked as a mod on not606 because he stole user passwords and deleted pro Hamilton posts
Also his signature was a link to a Hamilton race hate neo Na zi site

assumng that site runs on one of the two most popular forum softwares, Vbulletin or phpBB, it is impossible to steal passwords. they are held in an encrypted file that NO-ONE has access to, not mods, not admins and not site founders. Even if hacked, the file is encrypted with a 128bit logarithm.
The only thing a mod/admin can do is to change a password, they cannot pull existing passwords from the system.
Members complained of this
And then he got sacked
2 facts, I assume they are connected
Assume what you like. it's not possible to pull passwords.
change them, yes (for an admin, a mod cannot even do that). steal them, no.
I would guess there were other complaints being made, or the people who run the site don't actually know how their own software works.
