none of that lot will make it at spurs imo.

possibly with the exception of carroll... but even then he needs to come on leaps and bounds if he is going to get anywhere near our current midfield. but its possible.. look at livermore. just takes some hard work and some luck.

our best loanees are naughton and caulker. particularly caulker who i am certain is going to be the next ledley king for us.

From what i have seen dont hold to much hope for any of them long term at spurs (maybe mason and carrol if they kick on) but think they will make a decent living out of the game. anyone know how parret is getting on at yeovil had high hopes for him 2 years ago but has gone right of the boil, think attitude might be the reason there not sure.

I like caulker to, bit worried to hear a few things hes been saying lately but see how things go. Naughton be sold in summer

whats the point in selling naughton? just send him back on loan to norwich again next season?

as far as i am aware he is on a long term deal.

I would love to see caulker be good enough to make the first team, but he has some pretty big boots to fill

I thought Carrol played really well in the europa matches, him and Livermore made a good midfield pairing, although a million miles from Modric and Parker

Trust me mate hes got no future here, saying that could be all change if harry goes......

No point in selling Naughton, he'd be a good impact sub player for us

he wants out and we dont want him

Chronic agree , don't think he'll be sold .....apart from Caulker and Naughton don't see too much in the rest but there's always the chance that one or two will come good ....Some players are late developers

yeah but due to us being a very good team at the moment it means for the youngsters to get in they have to be exceptional.

if you are a young player in an academy, the worst thing is to have a team full of incredible talent infront of you.

i would send caulker and naughton both back out on loan next season.

Chronic Hmmm yes but not Caulker , he's the best defender in a good prem side and still getting better , Ledds and Gallas may well be gone in the Summer

ledley will get another year.

what is the point of having caulker on our bench when he could be improving even more and getting all his mistakes out of him at swansea? check kaboul for a perfect example.. made all his mistakes as a young defender at pompey and we are now seeing the true kaboul.

hey spurcat its what ive heard about naughton, could be mistaken but got the impression he doesnt see he has a future with us, cant see him being happy sitting behind k walker for the long term

sandrothebeast -

Sorry mate, but wasn't sure if you were referring to Naughton. Thought you were, but wasn't certain.

Now I know you were, then yes, you are dead right

sandro.. i agree that naughton wont be happy with back up long term.. but send him on loan for another season.

no harm in doing that.

I never held much hope for Townsend, he's never seemed to nail down a spot when loaned out. Why Falque isn't cutting it in the champion is baffling. The rest don't seem like they have the potential to impact our team, maybe Carroll.

bennycool the problem is that Falque was at Juve - the biggest club in Italy (so probably with the best scouting network)... if they saw enough in him, they wouldnt have sold him to us so easily.

Fair comment, but then again, neither did Jake Livermore, and he has had 7 loan moves. I think the point is that, so many of our loaness have had mixed fortunes over the months/years, that whilst we as a club are getting more from our loan policy than in previous years, we do need to be constantly reviewing where we send our players and whether we are getting "good value" from the borrowing club.

as long as we send our players to what i consider footballing teams, then i am happy.

for example. It will be demanded of Caulker that he plays the ball out from the back at Swansea, so will have to be comfortable on the ball.

That skill will be expected when he comes back. The thought of a centre back not being able to play the ball around doesnt really sit well with me.
