That is not a PHACKT!!!!
thats no WUM, I cant see any Chelsea supporter being wound up by that.
ITS A FACKT
The guy is immense.
Look how Milan played with no natural wingers (similar to us), yet they just dominated play.
The reasons for this is simple. They had a manager who dont his homework and had a clear gamplan.
They had a team that worked for eachother on the field and actually know the meaning of TEAMWORK!
Most importantly, with a squad of practically the same overall ability as ours, the players actually showed desire and a footballing brain.
no one else noticed how Milan are a better team now they got rid of all the old guard, who were holding their development back.
Lesson for us there I believe.
It also helped that Arsenal were absolute cack..
And old veterans such as Ambrosini, Nesta, Gattuso don't kick up a fuss when being dropped to the bench. I don't think Seedorf minds being bit part player.
Certainly can't see the likes of Terry, Lampard and Drogba having the same attitude.
Keep top 4 and those players mentioned won't have much of a say next season

The guys that have not played much of a part in our last few rather embarrasing performances through injury or competition. Lampard may have featured last weekend but he has been benched plenty of times this season without kicking up a fuss.

More reason to raise eyebrows at AVB then with regards to his ability to make this team work. Hes just not ready.
AVB may not be the right man for the job but then he might, I don't know that's for sure, what I do know is that any manager should be given time to succeed. No manager has at Chelsea so far. Jose inherited a fairly decent team and benefitted from some buys his predecessor made that even his predecessor never got a chance to use. His predecessor had spent 4 years transforming what up to that point had been our most succesfull team ever, and like this one it was an ageing team.
Jose bought in a couple of players and won us two titles but left under a cloud, possibly due to interference from above, having to take players (or at least one) he did not want. Others have come close or not so close, our last manager even won the double in his first year.
We should not put up with a mediocre manager but even those rated up there with the best in the world have a settling in period or quiet spells. Fergie took a while to win a title, in his current regime he has had a spell of three years on the bounce without winning one. Wenger has gone longer.
I am rarely for sacking or replacing a manager, Ian porterfireld was one and Raneiri in his early years was another, but for all we had in Raneiris early years I was starting to believe there was a lot more to come from him before he was replaced.
It takes time to build a team, Jose's team was not built overnight, regardless of what people claim. Sometimes we need our owner to have a bit of paitence and faith and sometimes so do we.
I have my concerns about AVB as much as the next person but there is a lot going on at the moment and I take that into account.

Thats my problem. The so called old guard have hardly featured in the last month yet still we're churning out embarassing performance after embarassing performance. Overall in the season Lampard, Drogba, Malouda, Mikel, Kalou have hardly played either. Even the so called players who are on AVB's side like Luiz, Meireles played like they couldnt care less against Everton..
I know we should give managers time but Fergie 20 years ago is totally different to AVB now. The whole dynamics, pressure and million other things have changed from 1990-2012.
AVB has shown me hardly anything to suggest he can make it with this club and thats the main problem. Theres not even a hint. Theres no point sticking by a manager just for stability. If hes not good enough, then I say get rid and find a manager who is capable and NOT AFRAID TO SHAKE UP THE TEAM IN THE SUMMER WHEN HE HAS THE CHANCE!!
Yet strangely enough our results so far have managed to yield almost as many points as last season. Don't get me wrong I do hear what you are sayingbut the last time we were in this position is when Raneri took over and we had simillar problems, mainly down to expectation.
JFDI
the same number of points is fine but look around us and you'll see atleast 2 of our rivals have strengthened. CIty & Spurs. Utd were never gna drop out of the top 4. Did we overachieve then last year by coming 2nd? 2nd down to 5th now is a shambles of a transition. If we do end up 5th that is.
I know that Mr Chelsea, clearly others have improved, particularly City and Tottenham, interesting to note that City have stuck with Mancini for all the critcism he has had.
True JFDI.. The only criticism I can think of was that he was too defensive. Overally he got City playing as a team in my opinion in that season where Tottenham pipped them to 4th.. He tightened up that defence which Mark Hughes couldnt do. AVB has many many things to sort out. Its not too unrealistic to think he might, just might be out of his depth on this one.
I do not disagree, only saying that we don't really know one way or the other at this stage.
