You can really tell how old people are their nominations. Seriously, Mark Crossley in the top four greatest Forest players of all time? He would struggle to make top 4 keepers in my opinion.

Peter Shilton is arguably the best keeper of his generation, never mind the no1 in Nottingham Forests history.

Stuart Pearce is a good shout. Forest and England captain.

John Robertson surely? BC himself hails this Scot as the best player in a double European Cup winning Forest side, and that will do for me.

4 th nominee would have to be either Ian-storey Moore or John McGovern, I'd probably go with McGovern simply for captaining our side during it's most successful era.

In terms of natural ability, Collymore was for me the best I saw and a potential legend, but he left prematurely and went into melt down shortly afterwards. 2 other players who could perhaps coould have become Forest greats had they stuck around for longer - Teddy Sheringham and Roy Keane. Both quality, but unfortunately we didn't get to see the best of them.

I just picked players I knew from this list.

Apart from Shilts, surely your greatest ever keeper?

Ok I would like to make some changes:

Keeper - Peter Shilton
Defender - Des Walker
Midfielder - Roy Keane
Striker - Nigel Clough

Agreed Dave.... Named my eldest after Teddy... I even do a BC on him and call him Edward.

Unfortunately I named my second after David Phillips, who had won the player of the year at the time. Not one of Forest's great players but a good solid midfielder of his time

I totally agree with you Dave, but on his day he was unplayable, had all the ammo to be a legend but threw it away, I just remember the good, not the bad mate

GK: Peter Shilton (world class)
DEF: Bob McKinlay (most appearances)
MID: John Robertson (wing wizard)
ATT: Nigel Clough / Grenville Morris (top goalscorers)

Someone put Camp as the best GK - ridiculous.
