Moses
What's Owen Coyle given you this season?
"By a whole point! I really doubt they will be come end of season."
Hang on Woody, you've made the point fans are needed, yet Blackburn are above us in Feb... The bit about the end of the season is guess work..
So a hate filled Ewood are above the Coyle Love-In Reebok.. Blows a few theories out the window..
Aye, but that doesn't make my point any less valid, if the fans ain't up for the fight you can be damn sure the players wont be
****
Don't mistake the attitudes and opinions expressed on a football forum with reactions at an actual game. There's plenty on here who have a right go in here, but wouldn't dream of booing the team etc. at an actual game.
But then, that's the idea of a forum ...you can get yer gripes aired without it impacting ' in real life ' as it were ...
Correct FirstOf...
Spot on
Mallorca, I have gone over why I support Coyle, I know you don't agree with that.
I seem to remember you, after the Blackburn game, before our good run, stating that you would not get carried away.
But as soon as there is one bad performance, knives are out again, just doesn't make sense.
"But as soon as there is one bad performance"
Norwich + Wigan = 2
Let's just skip facts Moses, you crack on with the Love In....

But the point is, very few of us have ever met in real life, and certainly not at games, so how are we meant to assume what you do at a game?
Off the the impression we get off the forum of course.
Norwich + Wigan = 2

Actually, the were people making those sort of comments after the Norwich game ...
But you questioned me... You replied to me....
I think most people would understand that fans openly react differently on a forum than they do in real life ...or this that just too common-sensical?

Firstof, I had a telephone interview the other week, the recruitment person had to off what she had heard over the telephone, not what I might be like.
""But sometimes you need to pick your battles a bit better."
LH - we are like brothers from different mothers...
I'm not too upset with today..
I'm still annoyed we lost to them at home!
Move on, Wigan next. 3 points..
Let's hope after Newcastle and Norwich OC keeps Muamba and the shape of the team for 90 mins..
Scarborough is cold and full of snow! What's Bolton like people??"

Thoughts Moses, or am I just a freak of genius.. !!
Fairplay then Mallorca, but two performances, not exactly a run of games is it?

When we have all played the same teams the same amount of times, the table will be a fair reflection of how each team has played the same teams the same amount of times (end of the season.) Hence why I wouldn't use the table now as an accurate gauge of which team is better, to paraphrase Coyle: "The table only relevant at the end of the season"
Do you honestly believe that if fans who are supposed to eat, sleep and breath the club aren't giving it their all, players who have no emotional ties to the club and look at it as their job will give their all?
BUT AFTER A DECENT RETURN WITH 451 IT'S FOOK1NG STUPID TO CHANGE IT!!!!
Woody, you've moved the goalposts and are asking different questions.. My last comment to you is the reply to your last comment..

I have admitted it was wrong, there is really no debate on this matter.
However, one game, if we continue to play 4-4-2 and go down, then I'll probably agree with you.
Moses, we're fans for life and will be here long after Owen Coyle took our money.
You give him this untouchable legendary personna when he played 50 games for us once. But we are just one of 10 different teams he played for.
"However, one game"
Moses, are you real....
I'm going to bed.. I may as well be talking to my 6 year old or a bird...

I have never done this, I honestly cannot remember Coyle first time round, I was only a little kid.
However, he has proven that he is a good manager last season.

I hardly think I did. My original point was that teams in a relegation scrap need fans behind them. You then said that Blackburn were above us which I replied I didn't think they would be at the end of the season. In that last comment I then explained why I don't think it matters that B'Burn are above us at the moment and why we will only see the real proof of the theory that fans drive a team through a relegation scrap at the end of the season. I then asked a rhetorical to drive home the point. That fan support may only equate to one extra point at the end of a season, but that might be all it takes.
If we use this seasons previous statistics, we will get 4 points.
(20 ÷ 25) x 5 = 4

Full marks for being consistent, Bricks. I just knew you'd post something like that. If I felt like you seem to, I'd stop going. It must be heartbreaking to be so depressed, miserable and negative for a whole 9 months. Chin up lad.
The bookies make their millions off over optimistic punters by using the simple equation I posted.
If it was as simple as that, we wouldn't bother watching would we?
Liverpool "should" have beat us.
We "should" have beat Wigan.
I think the bookies are more sophisticated than that, somehow. They don't base their forecasts on primary school arithmetic.
Woody (I think it was Woody) nailed it when he said the final league table is formulated after everyone has played everyone else twice. Well, if you break that down, you are going to get variations in form throughout a season, and you are going to have more difficult fixtures than others.
You wouldn't argue that our last 10 games this season have the same points expectation as our first 10 games, unless you were an absolute plonker.
So basically ...we should ignore the league table until 38 games have been played, because until it's complete, it provides us with absolutely nothing as to how well / poor a club is doing?
