Not difficult to assess Liverpool. They are ga$h.
Utd will bounce back from being ko'd from CL. We will win another league title before Luverpool.
Just my assessment.

Not sure you are genuine, but I do get that a lot, never mind eh
>>Liverpool's performances are indeed not good enough for that club
The performances have been good enough to have a CL spot wrapped up by now.
Finishing has been the problem. 4 missed penalties as well.
That's confidence, not talent or tactics.
Still a problem though and it's cost us.
i think you will find that finishing is an integral part of the game.

Your assessment may well be true, but to suggest Liverpool are ga sh surely means that United would be playing in the FA cup this weekend, no?
Billy
Absolutely genuine mate. Miss the banter of a well thought out debate (most of the time).
I never agreed with you, but I think that was the point wasn't it?
Couldn't you start up a new account like Billybob strikes back! or something?
As for fa cup. Jammy gits.
Of course finishing is an integral part of the game, but that doesn't stop every manager from saying, 'if we had scored at blah blah blah..when we had the chance'
Your own man Fergie has said that if they had finished their chances against Basle...blah blah. As you have succinctly pointed out, finishing is integral, so does this not make Fergie's comments ridiculous? This being the whole point of the article!
>>i think you will find that finishing is an integral part of the game.
of course
If they had history of this as a problem I'd be extremely upset that we got it wrong buying players. But these are proven finishers.
4 different players missing penalties in matches we drew. I don't think we'd missed 4 penalties in the the last 8 years combined. Countless sitters put wide or right at the keeper. Woodwork over 20 times.
This is a confidence and bad luck issue, not talent, tactics or players based on previous form.

Yeah, I get that from a lot of my old adversaries, I was obviously totally anti United. But people got that and it was okay, clearly a few people wanted me out of there, fair enough, no problem!
I doubt a new account would last long, my opinions and style is/are six years old...I would be identified as quick as you can say Tom Cleverly has proved himself, i.e. it's never gonna happen!
Neveind Billy. I can always seek you out to correct you on your anti Utd ways. That's me for the night. Good night.

I imagine it is just bad luck, having said that, a shot that hits the post is off-target. I have never known a team to hit the woodwork so many times in one season, bad luck? Or just the way it is?
I prefer bad luck, as it is an uncanny amount of misses, a lot of games are decided upon inches either way of the woodwork, unfortunately for Liverpool it has gone against them freakishly this season!
bayben
Haha, thanks mate!
>>I imagine it is just bad luck
no, there is a confidence problem even bigger.
redconn
Maybe. The expectations at Liverpool are so high, so you may have a point about confidence. For example, Adam takes a pen at Blackpool and it is just a pen, important as it may be.... but at Liverpool he has a much bigger weight on his shoulders to score, thus his confidence is reduced?
I am not explaining myself very well here, but I hope you get what I mean. Is this what you are suggesting?
Re: Adam
it's not just that it's 'Liverpool'
It's also a side that's been dropping points after dominating, hitting the woodwork, and having opposition keepers having blinders.
The whole side whether handed a sitter or peno seems to to have a weight of 100 metric tonnes on their shoulders of "FFS, what if I miss".
Then they do.
not one player, not two, but closer to 15 players. It's a plague.
redconn
You are right imo, and thus your confidence comments ring true.
What solves it though? Maybe a cup win will instil confidence? It may be the least wanted cup, but only one club can win it and if they do then they are winners.
What do you think mate?
>>What do you think mate?
Evra is a liar and Suarez has been wronged
We are on the same wavelength redconn >.
I am going to kick someone in the chest tomorrow with a pair of football boots on, then when they get up and square up to me I will offer them my hand. If they refuse that I will be happy in the fact that my GBH is seen as a lesser offence than them refusing my handshake!
Throw in a bit of racial abuse take out the GBH and you've almost got a similar situation.
Or instead imagine you commit GBH on him and then also refuse his hand (which wasn't punished by 8 games like his other offence)

Fergie gave evidence against Suarez, he made the first approach to the officials, he said, "he called him a n****er five times", yet when questioned he couldn't remember what was said??? How would you forget that? Surely you know what you said, yet Fergie was unsure about his evidence at the time!
Fergie made the referees write down exactly what was said by Suarez, this was "he called me nig***ers", that was reported and filed by the referee. However, Suarez never said the word n****ers, the panel agreed that the word n****ers was ever used!
So, if the word was never used, the word that both Fergie and Evra insisted was used, how on Earth did the investigation have any legs?
Also, do you think that the word n***er was ever uttered?
The panel said it wasn't, yet the whole point of this was that Evra complained he was called n****er ten times!
He later retracted this, we all know he retracted it, is this what you expect from a credible witness?
omg are you still going on about this, really ?
Siempre
Why not?
I guess you would have advised the Birmingham 6 and other people who suffered a miscarriage of justice to just let it go!
You seem to be an intelligent person, can you not see how this judgement is not acceptable given the severity of the verdict, i.e. a player is branded as a racist abuser on the grounds of probability?
