How many other clubs in this league have gone into administration?
Its OK saying look Portsmouth going into admin shows Bates is doing the right thing, but you cant use one example of a very badly run club to say Bates is right on team investment.

well if you look at their club capacity/average..its nothing like ours...so that in itself would put them on thin ice...see trevor birch is in charge of the admin...
Sorry Mattyp where did I state he was right? I've actually said before our player wages should be 50-60% rather than the 40% it is. Is he that wrong though?
As for Portsmouth, I could use other examples if you want. Ipswich need £6m pumped into them each year by owner and took Andrews/Bowyer.
I was going to put a little note at the end saying I didnt think you were saying that exactly, however I didnt think it looked like i was having a go at you directly so didnt, I do however apologise if it came across as that.
However again, two out of how many?
Grayson tryed to sign Bowyer
Nothing do wages
Players more now come here now we don't have a who that manager called again?
Instead of paying for a few good quality players,we have overspent on lots of average players. It's a false economy.Quality players can bring out the best of the rest in the squad.
Kev's bang on. Still doesn't alter the fact that Bates
is a monkey's behind.
MattyP no problem. Will be interesting what other clubs do when they actually have to breakeven in this league.
I understand Derby for example from two years ago had a wage bill of £16m and this year it will be nearer £10m and they are still looking at further cutting this.
I agree with Kev!..
If the top man had given a little more for a bit more quality then maybe we'd have a bit more in our squad that would get what we wanted, as it is we've got a bigger squad with less quality and being bigger paying as much if not more then we might have been if we'd taken on two or three quality players!..
Or we could have paid some that have left a little more and got shut of some of what we don't need, that would have helped a little as well!..
LufcGermany, I'd have given Kilkenny's wages to Johnson to keep him. Clayton does Kilkenny's role and we would be stronger in the middle.
Cas, your saying Johnson, and Howson was talking for knocking on a year so they say, but what about Mad Max?..
Did he leave for family reasons like said or were the others offering more?..
