Nothing to do with Torres' confidence at all.

Which top manager would want to take over a bunch of unruly arrogant past it players whose wages depend on finishing 4th, which is nowhere near a given?

Not as good a proposition when Hiddink came in 08/09.

Mata was taken off for the Napoli game. But still, a 1-1 draw at home to a championship side is not on. Doesn't look like Torres will ever come back now unless we have a new manager and new players come the summer for next season.

Torres is poo. Drogba isn't

We need two DMs for that formation so he can only take Mata off. Meireles can play as a DM although he is very poor going forward.

I can't see what the fuss is about Torres really. If he can't score for over 20 games it is very unlikely that he will score in 45 minutes.

Bubbles, you are a boring man walking. We all had to watch this pathetic game today, and it was clear that the players are not putting the effort in, and there isnt a single passer of the ball in midfield. What can you do as a manager? You are not going to create a sculpture with cr@p.

I'd be concerned for next season if I were you Chelsea fans.

I couldn't care less about Torres' confidence at half time tbh. He was woeful and I've been one of his biggest fans.

It might not be his fault completely (our midfield is abysmal) but it's just not working and Drogba showed more presence in the first 5 minutes of the second half his Torres did in his entire 45 mins.

I didn't want Carlo sacked (more and more it's looking like a bad decision) but AVB is here now and deserves to be judged only when it's his squad.

I honestly think getting rid of the arrogant twunts on your playing staff - Terry, Lampard, Cole etc, would be better than acting knee jerk and removing AVB.

Roman needs to come out and back the manager so these players realise they have to fall into line or leave.

Drogba improved us, Mata was being rested for Napoli and was poor and looked fatigued. Why don't you focus on the positives? AVB made subs that changed the game early in the game which is something you have criticised him for not doing. He changed formation - something you have criticises him for not doing. He dropped Bos and played Cahill - something you have criticised him for not doing. Can he not win?

Was a weird one - Torres wasn't playing great but he didn't have any real goalscoring chances set up for him.

I don't understand why he persists with Sturridge on the wing. That finish today was pure striker, he's wasted out there.

I can't believe how poor Meireles is for you lot, he wasn't amazing for us but he at least touched the ball more than twice a game.

Him taking off Torres at half-time, they guy is utterly contemptuous. He's totally killed Torres's confidence now

----------------------------------------------------------------

Torres did a good job of killing his own confidence well before AVB came to the club.

If Torres was playing like garbage then he needs to ne taken off.

Commentators saying "Meireles" like they've got a lisp..

I like Sturridge on the wing.

Drogba offered nothing more than Torres. Didn't get the ball under control once.

I really rate Sturridge and you know your team better than me... but he got 8 goals in 12 for Bolton playing as a striker.

Bubbles, you sound like a plastic. Blaming the manager for all your problems, so you're just looking for excuses that show why it's AVB's fault.

He takes off an ineffective player (Torres) and rests your best player (Mata). Both subs made for different and sound reasons, yet you blame him for both?

That's a weird thought process.

If AVB has the balls to get rid of all the big egos in you team like Pep did with Barca when he took over, in the summer you might just see some progress next season.

Lol

Some really blind folk on here crediting Drogba & AVB for the speed up in our play. Could it just be to do with the fact we were 1-0 down to a championship team Just a hunch lads.

Torres touched the ball about 12 times in the first half. Twelve fluffin times? and he gets made a scapegoat and gets taken off.

How many times did Drogba touch the ball. Does anyone know?
