Downing should start after his game today.

This season Henderson has been better on the right than Kuyt..

Bellamy on the right and Downing on the left with Suarez and Carroll upfront.

Knowing Kenny, he'll start Henderson eventhough he had a poor game today and has been poor in recent games. As Souness said Liverpool have a poor scoring record because there is not enough goals coming from the midfield. Apart from Gerrard and Adam early in the season the Hendo ( scored once) and Downing are not scoring. Hendo is not even close to scoring. Our defenders (Johnson, Skrtel, Kelly and Agger) have scored more than our midfielders.

I'd go with
Reina
Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
Gerrard Adam
Bellamy Suarez Downing
Carroll

Although I have my doubts with Gerrard and Adam, I'd still say that's our strongest line up.

defence is a given.

gerrard, suarez and bellamy are also nailed on starters.

on todays performance, downing and carroll should also be in.
The other spot will be between hendo and adam. given the attacking line up put out, i think he will go with hendo as he is more mobile

I'd normally agree with you, but Bellamy definitely deserves to start a cup final especially one against Cardiff with his performances this season

Why change?

Because we rested two of our first team players!

Agger is our best CB, and Bellamy is our second top goal scorer!

What a stupid question.

Oh yeah and Agger's been one of our best players this season...

How is that a stupid question, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Why risk Agger to injury if Carragher is playing well? Why risk Bellamy if Downing, Suarez and Carroll are playing well?

I actually think skrtel is the better of the two. He is a beast at the moment and rarely loses a tackle. starting to chip in with the goals aswell

Wow Fred, wouldn't playing Agger in any game risk him with injury?

Its the Carling Cup Final so you play your best team!

I think Carragher is good enough easily to get us a cup win against Cardiff, his experience in big occasions will really help. Bellamy should be brought on as a sub, keep Downing, Suarez and Carroll together and get them used to playing together and with Gerrard. We need that trio to flourish and you couldn't drop anybody after the performances today. Save Agger for the league.

They complement each other perfectly and I'd agree that Skrtel's been better but I stick by that Agger's been excellent with the rest of our defence

I would actually say our top 5 performers this season would be:Skrtel,Agger,Enrique,Johnson and Bellamy
(in no particular order)

Agger must come back into the team. Carra on a big pitch like Wembley would scare the hell out of me.

Kenny said final places were up for grabs, so on that basis both Downing and Carroll have earned the right today.

Harsh to leave out Kuyt though who is a big game player.

All out attack is the best policy, so Adam and Gerrard even though that leaves us vulnerable to the counter.

I can't imagine Bellamy not playing, he would be furious if left out of the biggest came probably of his career, given his personal connection to the opposition.

That means Kuyt and Henderson are the unlucky men who have to miss out.

I see where you are coming from Greatteams, I too wouldn't be surprised to see Carroll on the bench, given he seems unable to force a run in the side.
