Have some respect. He was player of the year last season. He is playing poorly I agree but so is every other player, not just chambers. He has not turned into a bad player overnight just as McGugan and others haven't either. At least Chambers has some passion and looks like he cares. Why turn on him when things are not going so well? He has shown how well he can play so perhaps with a bit of faith he will show that again. He has earned the right to be in the team in my opinion. And whatever you think of him at least show him the respect he has earned before.

what rubbish,
you have to earn respect every day and chambers has been both one of our worst players all season and demonstrated the sort of poor attitude that has torn through the squad like cancer.
he blames everyone else when he's one of the worst culprits....... leaders don't do that.
Have some respect
So was Chambers showing any respect when he slagged off the fans that weren't booing?
No he wasn't. He needs fining and stripping of the captaincy. What exactly is the difference between lambasting someone on twitter or down the radio?
Miller got fined didn't he? Why hasn't this powder puff clown been punished?
Unless the club agree with him of course.....
I have been a big fan of Lynch all season. He could eventually play in the PL and we could get a big fee for him if the progress he has made this season continues.
I was very disappointed when he was left out against Watford and subsequent games, however having two left footed CBs would be as wrong as it was to have two right footed ones. If Higginbottom plays CB, then the options are Chambo or Wootton. SC has wanted Wootton at RB so that leave Chambo unopposed for the other CB spot.
I think Gunter will revert to RB next week so it will be interesting to see if Wootton gets the CB spot or ousts Moose from DM. My guess is Wootton will be on the bench and Chambo will again be CB
But Chambo as Skipper ? Pre-season I thought so, but it has definitely not worked out and although I dont like keepers being made the captain I think this would be the best option both for the team and Chambo himself
Chambers is missing his daddy.
The sooner we ship him out the better
And as for not liking the booing at half time. What does he expect?!
If you pay your money you can do what you want. I don't agree to booing but he is paid a lot more money to do his job every week compared to the rest of us. He needs to knuckle down and fight for the cause
I tell you something, even Greeing who I have lambasted for NFFC, looked like he was really up for it Satday, yet Chambers, OHHHHHHh please don't boo me I'm trying, bloomin' show it you idiot, no wonder were in such a state with him leading!
How does he get picked ahead of Lynch, can someone please tell me, and don't tell me 2 left footed CB's can't play, how many times have we had 2 right footed ones, it's not ideal but not disater!
Chambes n Morgan weren't too shabby last season were they!
Having Chambers as Captain is just plain daft, the guy doesn't warrant being in the team at the moment.
Well done, you're really giving him confidence, reds_are_everywhere is right, he's a player who should be at the heart of our defence and will be again if we can keep him.
Can none of you remember how Lynch was vilified? And all the others we've turned on through the years.
We haven't got the luxury of getting out our players at the moment, we may sometimes be disappointed in how they're playing but at least we can encourage them.
Look, we;re not going down, we've been through a bad time and now we need to be showing everyone what we can do. And we're not going to get respect from other teams if we're telling our players that they're rubbish.
coz he's the only person who talks for the team. he is the one who organises on the pitch and by the sound of his press conferences, he is the one organising things off the pitch. who else should be captain??
many will say reid. well he doesn't play anywhere near enough games.
others will say camp. camp doesn't want to be here. he is arrogant and frankly i don't like him. good keeper but his distribution is hardly pepe reina. so if you argue that chambers shouldn't be captain becuase he has performed poorly. you could say the same to camp.
thats it so stop moaning and support the team. don't understand the timing of this article.

That was down to people choosing not to believe Billy/Lynch himself when it was said that LB wasn't his best position. What we're seeing from the lad is what he and Billy said we'd see all along.

Sadly not. His contract expires at the end of the season, so we'll lose the lad for nowt. Ditto McCleary.

Gunts? Higginbotham? Lynchinho?
I can never quite grasp why people say players should be 'shown some respect' when they haven't earned any.
If Chambers is still commanding respect because he's had one good season with Forest there's little wonder the club are in such a mess!
Gunter has more respect, shows more willing, effort and passion than Chambers for starters.

agreed,it's a two way street. Take Lynch for example,he had a lot of fans who wrote him off and gave him stick but he has won a lot of them over through his actions on the pitch. No whining needed.
Appreciate all the different opinions, but, in the final analysis, when you bother to review opposition goals, there is frequently one player who simply is not up to the task, and sadly that's our Captain.
What amazes me is that the majority of us can see it and yet he gets shoehorned into the side, whilst our player of the season so far (Lynch) is left out and one of the better right backs is played in midfield, with Wotton (clearly not a right back) played as right back. You really couldn't make it up.

Exactly, Lynch has proved a lot of his doubters (me included initially) wrong and would be one player I'd like to see given a new and improved deal in the summer.
I just hope Chambers is shown the door straight after the last game of the season, the lad is a pillock who is now believing in his own hype while producing shocking displays as both a player and captain week in week out
