looked like a sunday league team without Modric
See you in the final with any luck
secondly why is he giving Bale a free roaming role?
saw an interview with him recently mate and he said its something hes been working on with the coaches. He was getting marked out of games so they decided this was the way to go. Not sure on it myself tbh.

Can Spurs win FA Cup?
by the messiaharry talking in riddles since 1986
Of course Spurs can win the FA Cup, but Harry needs to play the First XI like Liverpool are doing. As far as I know no team that plays reserve or squad players has ever won a major trophy, I may be wrong.
The trouble is as I stated in an article yesterday, whilst Spurs do have a strong squad, when the squad players are all played together, as yesterday proved once again, they are pretty average, and that is the case for most teams. Sure bring in the odd player when a first teamer is injured, but all at once is not in my opinion a good idea.
Plenty of team in the past have fielded understrength teams in the cups and paid the price.

We're in the draw!
get over it.
we played badly lacking creativity in the middle. It was a bobbly pitch which natually slows down our fast passing style. They were organised and physical.
We'll smash em at the lane, then Bolton, then onto Wembley

I am getting criciticised by my fellow posters for saying that Harry needs to rotate the squad. Why?
Spurs have maybe no more than 14 or 15 prem games and just a few cup games to get to Wembley this season, surely he should now be playing the strongest possible XI whenever possible. If Spurs are in the CL next season is he going to play reserves. I doubt it.
I have never been a big fan of large squads, and just playing players to keep them happy, it makes a mish mash of things, and you end up falling between two stools.

Whilst I admire your optimism, we also said the same against PAOK, and got a bloody nose. It must be obvious by our cup games this season, that wholesale changes are not working. And that is why every game needs to be taken very seriously.
I really do want a Wembley appearance in the FA Cup this season, it has been far too long since 1991, but tinkering with the team is also fraught with danger in my opinion.
Surely it is not to much to ask for the strongest possible team from hereonin now. Liverpool are doing it now, so why can`t Spurs.
everyone thinks Liverpool or Spurs but in my honest opinion Sunderland will go all the way and win it

It all about priorities isnt it. It doesnt seem to me that we are focusing on the cup at all. Ok to say players had knocks and stuff but do you lads think if we had been playing arsenal yesterday that we'd have had that many players out? I highly doubt it.

Harry will want the FA cup without doubt but does not want to over commit players in matches with lower league teams in case of injury
That smacks of arrogance n Harrys part then in my opinion. The team that thinks it can win a trophy by fielding understrength teams, are the teams that invariably meet their premature end.
Arsenal looking at that yesterday would be thinking we my have a chance after all now. If you really want to be considered the best you have to go for the jugular in EVERY match, not just pick and choose games.
Tomkins - you are right Sunderland have a very good chance, MON is a quality coach and I can see them going all the way.
As for us I think we'll beat Stevenage with ease, Bolton shouldn't cause us many problems at WHL either...

i think a Spurs vs sunderland final. It would be a fantastic game.
Liverpool to be knocked out in semis, probably by spurs
I fancy Leicester and Liverpool to do well as the former has a good pedigree in the cup competitions. I don't think our scoring is fluid enough to win the cup messiah.
I think we could win it if we took it serious Wongs But I think we are going all out for 3rd and maybe theyre right to do that. Couldve done without the extra game now and if its in between 2 premier league games then we'll prob only play a weakened team anyhow.

Exactly, I really cannot understand how playing a weakened team and then having to play another game because they coudl not get the job done really benefits any team. As near full strength as possible yesterday would have done the job, and then the players could have as much rest as they liked between Prem games. It`s hardly rocket science.
Yes. If the PL Spurs turn up.
Still think we will have to beat one of Chelsky or the Poool to reach Wembley.
It will be you or Sunderland imo
