There's no point in turning up if you think like that, it's unlikely you'll get anything but remember Old Trafford.
what benefit would that be to you, unless you are only worried about the goal difference, you need points.
Admittedly the odds are against you, but at the same time so was going to Old Trafford and getting a result.
No. Every new defeat takes us closer to relegation. Due to pathetic results earlier in the season we are now forced into trying to get something from every game we play, even those with the odds badly stacked against us. We have to try and win at the very least.
SKL is probably thinking the humiliation factor and potentially important damage to goal difference another Arsenal-type result could do. I'd agree with the other posters though, however likely it is to happen, there's no point in just accepting defeat. We should just have a crack, play with confidence and see what happens. We've got the best player in both teams at least
No way.
Although we have had some awful results this season, we have gained a portion of our small points total in games that I thought we had no chance in (Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool). I am not confident to be fair, but we have a chance, and we don't have enough games left to just start writting them off. We have to try and get something out of this game. Knowing Rover's we will probably get our first clean sheet of the season against them. Ok maybe not...
you can point to the united win. but in truth we'd have been better losing to united but beating bolton or wolves at home.
Nah, just got to live in hope that Joe Hart ocks up like he did when he mistimed his kick and allowed Kalnic to slot home

so that'd cancel out one of the 4 we'll conceed...
That and Man City pulling a "Brighton" and scoring 3 OGs

Have to agree with that, SKL. Glad we got 4 points at Anfield/ Old Trafford, but the must-win games that we lost at home were way more important.
Who knows, maybe we might pull something out of the bag against City. Maybe not though.

it's as simple as the fact Bolton or Wolves would have 3 points less, even though we'd only have the same number.
City are due to thrash someone after a scrappy spell of form...
The last time we played with a ‘nothing to lose’ attitude, arsenal thumped 7 past us
City do have to play midweek though....
Like that will make a difference
I'd take a draw but I certainly wouldn't take the defeat straight away.
It would be better to go down fighting than to give up before the game has even begun.
Daft article, we are scruffy as hell at the moment!
Just dont hurt my Silva, hmkay?
