Philspurs,

Mentioning the Coens on the other thread, I don't know if you've seen it but look out for The Man Who Wasn't There... Not one of their most popular but a very good film all the same.

haven't even heard of that one Galloping Major!

I watched a recent one of theirs....though I'm struggling to remember the name right now, something like 'An ordinary man' - which was also very good. I think 'No country' is my favourite of theirs to date though.

I think the second Human Centipede is already out isn't it? I think I might have to watch them out of curiousity more than anything...

The first human centipede is tame enough its the tought of it rather than pure gore wereas the second one is utter madness gore an plop everywhere.

Brokeback mountain, simply the funniest movie ever watched if done through an alcoholic, herbal, or hallucinogenic (Or better still, all 3) haze.

I took the advise of some comedian I was told about and did this, I have never laughed so much at a film in my life, 2 straight men playing the roles was absolutely hillarious, as if there are no gay actors in hollywood.

But these 2 really went for it, all over one another, man I thought I had busted something I laughed that hard

Buffalo 66

(Billy Brown talking to friend on the phone that insists people call him Rocky instead of G00n)

Billy Brown: You know why they call you G00n? Because you're reta*ded. And you're ugly. You're an ugly reta*d. And they call you G00n because you're ugly and reta*ded. And you'll always be G00n... G00n, G00n, G00n. And that's what I'm gonna call you for the rest of your life, is G00n. G00n, G00n, G00n, G00n, okay? So **** you

The old man and the sea with Spencer Tracey based on a Hemingway novel. Brilliant story and film.

Its not a film and i don't know how many people actually watched it but that 2 part drama that was on BBC recently called Birdsong was seriously good.

Old boy is a brilliant film. Twisted with a brutal fight sequence along a corridor. Lots of top Korean films - lady vengeance - infernal affairs (the film which the departed is basically an american copy of).

Also can recommend a very long engagement with the very pretty Audrey tatou.

I watched this old, hilarious, largely slapstick South African movie recently: "The Gods must be crazy". Both the part 1 and 2.

I can't remember laughing harder. Great picture.

"infernal affairs"

Is Hong Kong. Parts I and II are akin to The Godfather.
Similarly, Part 3.

On things HK, Hard Boiled (THE epitome of "Gun Fu" movies) .
