To be honest if he walks out on to the pitch in a couple of weeks time in a blue shirt I doubt I'll even clap him. If he puts in a few performances then I'll readdress my views on the guy then, but until that happens (if it does)...
I hope that we don't boo him, I think that will resort to his level, I think chants of "redeem yourself" and if he scores then "that's a start" would be a lot more beneficial and stop a media frenzy.
I doubt I will ever clap him or cheer his name again, I will cheer goals he scores but that is because its a goal rather than him. If he scores a hat trick against United runs up to Feguson and drop kicks him, then climbs into the Sky commentary box and throws Gary Neville out the window I may bring myself to make a little cheer under my breath
Hope he never gets the opportunity to put the shirt on again,of course he will be booed if he does the disrespectful shi ithouse. He should refund ticket money and expenses of all who travelled to Munich out of his first pay packet, that at least would be a start
Personally paul I disagree totally about giving the money to the fans he should use it to opoen a chain of top class restaraunts in the city and so help the needy.
Or make him do duck apple in acid again
Could be a hit on city square
I am one that never wanted to see him in a City shirt again but the club has stood firm and he has made an apology. We should be big enough to accept the apology but like a lot has said that doesn't mean we should fall about the place in relief. We have done brilliant without him and shown true team spirit.

what it does go to show is that city really will stoop to any level to win the league. embarrassing really, as they should have had it long since wrapped up by this stage.

is right lad. which is my point, i'm actually embarrassed for city. the squad that mancini has had at his disposal at a time when the premier league is the poorest it's ever been should have had the title won before christmas. and that's without taking into consideration the fact that united, their closest challengers haven't had a full first team available since the first week of the season. when chelsea were in the same position as city in 2005 they walked to the title only losing once in what was a much more competitive league, and that's how easy it should have been for city this time around. make no mistake, this will be the most hollow of title victories of all time for city. and what's more, they know it themselves.
Duns why are we stooping low to win the league..we have made a stand and he has apologised. what happened to Ronney last year, was sent on a holday with full pay then given a massive pay rise..how low did United stoop then..as well as the men in black outside his house...class club!!
unless i missed something, rooney never refused to play for the club and ferguson never said in an interview that he would never play for the club again. there's two glaring differences for a start.
" the squad that mancini has had at his disposal at a time when the premier league is the poorest it's ever been should have had the title won before christmas."
What a stupid thing to say. In order to have the title won by Christmas, we'd have to have one point more than our nearest rival could feasibly score if we went on to win no more games at all. Before Christmas, there would be 19 games left to play and we'd have had to score 58 points to be handed the title. Which would've been a hard task, seeing as the most we could've scored by then is 57.
"when chelsea were in the same position as city in 2005 they walked to the title only losing once in what was a much more competitive league"
In that season Chelsea ran away with it, 12 points clear of Arsenal in second! How is that competitive? There was a bigger points gap between Chelsea and United than there was separating 10th place and the bottom club! In what way is this competitive? Yes, perhaps competition for mid table, but how is that any different to any other season ever?
Nah, I think you use the term "competitive" in the wrong way. You're effectively writing your own team off as a defence in case you don't win that coveted 20th title - if you don't win, well, your team was poor. And if you do, then you won it despite having a poor team. Well done for carving out a nice little win-win for yourself there. But you forget - we City fans don't actually care that deeply about winning things. If we did, we'd not be City fans. Yeah, I'll not lie, it'll be nice to see us win the league, but I've been waiting almost 40 years for it, one more year won't kill me.
jesus, the fact that you took the "had it won by christmas" point seriosuly says everything. of course i didn't meant mathematically you clown. and the reason why chelsea walked that title so easily is because they were comfortably better than everyone else. which is what, player for player, city are at the moment. to only be two points ahead of a team that has been injury ravaged all season and has a net spend of £338 million less than you in the past six seasons is embarrassing, and no mistake. i don't know of any united fan who still expected us to be in contention by this stage of the season. when city win the league it will require nothing more than a shrug of shoulders on our part, but if city do blow it then it will be a bigger fall than devon loch.
United fans didnt expect to be in contention at this part of the season even though you were champions last year & had your best start to a premier league season...really?
under the circumstances and given the financial handicap being so heavily in city's favour, no.
I was pointing out the stupidity of your comment. We've seen teams before who look like they are going to walk it by Christmas and then get beaten into second place.
But what gets me is this notion that we're barely ahead of you despite you having a poor team. It's hardly our fault you're so close behind us, is it? We've been doing our job; we've scored maximum points at home, scored 64 goals and only lost 3 times in 25 games. Hardly poor form. We've only had one game to influence our lead over you and we won it. The problem we've had trying to stretch out a lead is down more to teams like Fulham, Bolton, Sunderland and QPR, who all gave us a game, but all rolled over and let you batter them.
What financial handicap, how much did you spend in the summer!!, not much different from our summer spend!!
now you are dreaming. what about the likes of newcastle who stepped aside at the united arena yet played as if their lives depended on it at old trafford the week later? stoke city, who didn't have a single effort on target when they played you this season, though i suppose it's to be expected with stoke, they even rolled over for you in a cup final ffs.
the facts are that at times in decemeber united were so stretched that we were playing a right winger at right back and a central midfielder at centre back whilst city had a full strength squad to choose from. to still be within striking distance after that is staggering.
city should have won the league last season, since then chelsea have gone backwards as have arsenal and arguably so have united. city spent, what..£100 million again last summer to move forwards? there isn't an outstanding team in the league at the moment and therefore the title has been there for the taking for city for two years now. the best team always wins the league and city have deserved to win it this season, but anyone can see that they haven't had much in the way of competition.
"What financial handicap, how much did you spend in the summer!!, not much different from our summer spend!!"
again incorrect. united may have spent last summer, but it was the very defintion of self generated income. last season in gate receipts alone we made enough to buy ten ashley young's, playing in every round of the champions league and progress in the fa cup saw to that. prize money from winning the league, players leaving/retiring/reducing the wage bill and sponsorship money funded the other purchases, one of which was a necessity as the previous gk had retired.
compare that with how city went about their business last summer. the facts are there for everyone to see. since 2006 united's net spend is only half a million more than bolton wanderers. city's on the other hand dwarfs everyone's. i really don't see why you're trying to get away from it lads, you've won the league and deservedly so, but as i say it has been the most predictable success ever.
"what about the likes of newcastle who stepped aside at the united arena yet played as if their lives depended on it at old trafford the week later?"
What, you mean the Newcastle side that gave us perhaps our toughest game at home this season? Not that I'd have expected you to watch it, but they've come closest to getting points off us at ours this season. And they played the same game against you lot and got a result.
"stoke city, who didn't have a single effort on target when they played you this season"
And didn't against you either, as I recall. In fact, didn't you need the ref to give you two penalties in that game?
Anyway, we could go on like this all day and get nowhere. The thing I find most laughable about this is the fact that you United fans are so willing to write your own team off. Even when we were awful, even when the relegation battles loomed and we were all but consigned to the dustbin, we never gave up hope. Maybe that's our own fault. Maybe we should all be really weak-willed and just quit on our team when things look a bit ropey, eh?
it's not about giving up hope, it's just being realistic and accepting the inevitable. hope this helps.
No. You're two points behind and you're saying you won't win the league. That's not being realistic, that's being a quitter. You've pulled back Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Leeds from longer distances than that.
But thanks for being patronising. I always find being spoken down to really lifts my day.
what it does go to show is that city really will stoop to any level to win the league
