what more could have avb done tonight? he's only the manager for christ's sake. he has no bearing on what the players get upto on the pitch at all.
avb only picks the formation the players and the tactics. thats all he does. that has no bearing on our results at all
Mr Chelsea
I blame him for the team selection and lack of balance in the team. Every man and his dog could see we had no balance on the pitch.
Had we played Essien and Lampard/Romeu instead of Malouda and Meireles and had he started Cole I would have been less harsh on him
People can say its the players all they like but even a poor group of players can get results if they are well organised and tactically astute - look at Rafa Benitez even.
The only tactic we had today was you attack, then we will attack and that isn't how you play away game in the CL with this set of players.
Bottom line is this isn't a good squad but AVB is making things worse rather than better.
And that's from someone who supports him and has always been desperate for him to make a success of it!

why cant people see on paper we have a bloody damn good team of individuals who just need organising. Thats all! they're clueless out on the pitch. they dont know how to defend or attack. yeh lets have stability and keep avb but these poor poor performances are inexcusable. we should never never have sacked king carlo. we atleast had some sort of solid defence under him who werent a calamity every time they're attacked. now we have a rubbish defence, a rubbish attack and an anonymous midfield. all down to lack of organisation and effort. avb clearly isnt getting through to anyone in this squad.
look at the lesser teams than us in the premier league. they have little or no ability but the one thing in their favour is they work as a team and for each. avb has horribly mismanaged the squad. who 's listening to him now. no one by the looks of it.
Mr Chelsea
Unfortunately very difficult to argue with any of that tbh, well put
O'Neill at Sunderland.
That is all

AVB is a proven failure. He's lost the team and has sunk chelsea for at least a season. Can it get any worse for Roman? Oh yes, perhaps the kgb will be knocking at his door with empty money sacks
AVB is not clueless, he has had no fair chance and the mutinous players should get out.
I'd take 7th and trohyless if we managed to keep AVB and ship out the rust of our team.
Hiddink is an old codger who would indulge the fogies and not allow lasting change.

Where's the money to rebuild coming from though? Finish 7th and the club has 50 million less in television money to spend on rebuilding and we lost 70 million last year anyway.
Roman doesn't want to splash another 200 million of his own cash again, and I don't want him too. At some point we have to become self sufficient, not qualifying for the CL would set us back years with that target.
CL qualification is absolutely vital.
