England will rattle Pakistan in 20/20's.
How did NZ lose that game?
As for Pak V Eng lets hope the favourites curse hits it again.
Test series - England favourites and Pakistan won it.
One Dayers - Pakistan favourites and England won it.
T20's - England favourites and ???? won it.
I know its wishful thinking.
It's logical Kash
Let's hope for some high drama & another couple of centuries from KP & Captain Cook
What do you think the line ups will be??

Lol neon, Now you will also have checked this article to see if someone has replied
and i have done.
I was very bemused to see the result score of this match. Ryder was smashing the ultimate chokers all round the park and Newzealand the most unchoking team chocked to the chocker and lost.
Well played Merchant delange.

Good Series all round.
Performances from Southee, Levi, Guptill, De Lange etc. Promising futures.
But I'm getting a little worried about the amount of T20s. I love T20 World Cups, but really should be only 1 T20 match a series.
If this continues, I doubt any player will be able to play all 3 formats consistently.
JT just watch the grounds in the UAE will be packed just for the T20s. Its was dead in the tests and a few more in one dayers but T20 it will be almost full.
As Neon has said before. evolution of the game.

I understand your point Kash, but I don't think that cricket should surrender to what I call:
"The YouTube Generation"
In this generation, players like Razzaq, Raina, Malinga, Tait and Pollard are heroes as if you were to watch a youtube clip of them and their best shots, fielding (not Razzaq) or deliveries, then they look a million dollars, but there needs to be more substance tha that.
Problem with these players is that you could watch the majority of their achievements in the game on a Youtube clip (unlike Botham, Imran, Gavaskar, Murali, Warne, Viv etc. where no amounts of clips could encapsulate their mammoth achievements).
I understand the extra revenue T20s create, but at what cost. Cricket is getting dumbed down too much. Like I said, T20 World Cups are fine, but really who cares who wins the T20 series now the tests and ODIs are over. Will you be saying to your grandchildren, I remember when we beat a team in T20 match where my favourite player played a wonderful innings of 28 runs and then got 1 for 20 in 4 tight overs.

T20 and ODI cirkcet will take over form test cricket. Weather you like it or not.
............
Whilst i agree to an extent Neon, they said ODi would overtake tests when ODI's first came on the scene. Whilst i don;t doubt T20 will over take tests as people don;t have the patience for the long game anymore. However as i've said before all formats of the game can live together happily and easily, we just need people to stop trying to drive a wedge between the formats. As has been said before T20 needs to be careful not the kill the goose that laid the golden egg. I suspect without tests T20 will struggle.
Well said JT couldn't have put it better myself.

I heard ODI cricket would take over (whether I liked it or not) 20 years ago, but it still hasn't happened. It's just a way for commercial, casual followers of cricket trying to justify dumbing down the game.
The more meaningless T20 matches are played, the more people will get sick of it (just like ODI cricket after those triangular tournaments).
Then TPTB will think of another bogus idea to try and impress the average joe down the street who doesn't want to watch cricket, he/she just wants to know enough about it to hold a conversation about it.

Thanks very much, I have to say it's not only circket that's going down this route. I would start talking about other sports succumbing to commercial demands, but then that's for another board.
Neon i agree with a lot of what you;re saying, the money side of it we all know about, the posturing and flexing of power is there for all to be seen, T20 is like the shiny new toy you give to your kid at xmas, of course it's exciting to new comers and the young generation who don;t really understand what test cricket is about. But like all shiny new toys they loose appeal. Look at the County game here, already there is a call for the amount of T20 games to be reduced, the crowds were down for most teams last season and the season before.
The formats can live together but this posturing by T20 needs to stop as without tests it will struggle too. The 3 formats of the game need to see how much they need each other and how much they have to work together for all their benefits.
