Isn't Mata a striker? Or are we just going to buy wingers and 'turn' them into strikers like the Arsenal way?
Mata is a left winger....adn Rosicky is still in the team cause lets face it...he isn't going anywhere...hes a likeable guy....maybe play a couple of cup games and stuff...ot all bad

Mata is a winger very skillful and a good finisher while not being lightning quick he's fast enough much like wilshere he'd cost a pretty penny but I can see him being hugely successful in the prem. Only thing I'd like to add to the in's is a striker but that is probly last on wengers priorities so i can't see it happening.
Wilshere is better than Cesc.
Just look at the 2 Barcelona games.
You need some proper wide men - wingers. Arshavin, Rosicky, RVP, Mata, Nasri - none of these are wingers.
Walcott is - but who plays left? Last year it was Arshavin a lot - he can't play there so now apparently he's past it.
Wenger has not built a balanced squad. Liverpool and Chelsea don't have 2 proper wingers to speak of either.
That's why Man Utd are winning the league without playing well.

Wenger wont spend 30m even if we do get 40m for cesc,the most he will spend this summer will be around 18m tops.
