If Venkys aren't out to just asset strip...

Attendances will drop even lower
Any players who attract interest will be sold immediately to counter the act of relegation
Venkys will look to sell but probably for more than they actually paid (having no notion of how the value has diminished since they have taken over)
Relegation to League 1 will be more likely than return to the premiership

Thing is Ashley actually bought plenty players the season they went down but the Venkys seem to be just asset stripping. If they let Samba go for any price Blackburn are going down and it might be a long time before you come back to where you belong. I honestly don't understand what they are doing. If they actually spent some cash the basic core of a good team was there and who knows where you could be in the table but as they say the table doesn't lie.

neither do they, that's the problem. There's no-one with an ounce of football knowledge left at the club (barring the players).

My current best estimate of what the hell Venkys have been doing/thinking the last 18 months is something along the lines of they're not deliberately trying to ruin the club this is their priority list:

1. Above all else make money - So Allardyce out, Williams out, Finn out, our commercial director out, all high earners not vital to the team out. Never spend more than you make on players.

2. Do things their way - Don't care how every other football club is run. Don't care that it was being run very successfully before. Don't care what fans or anyone else thinks about any changes. Venkys run all their businesses a certain way and Rovers will be run exactly the same.

3. If points 1 and 2 combine to produce success then great. If they don't then its not ideal but we're not changing them.

So to be honest no I don't see a change in attitude if we go down. If Venkys were gonna wake up and smell the coffee then avoiding relegation on the last day of the season should have done it.
