Neymar isn't what we need

I don't think we are going to get him, but why wouldn't he fit into our system. If he does go to Real, who do you think are they going to drop for him.

Personally don't think we will get him either but I am interested in how you know what system we will play under AVB?

Neymar isn't strong enough to play as a CF and he is less effective out wide, which means he wouldn't be suited to our 4-3-3. Real wouldn't need to drop anyone, Kaka s going anyway so they will just move Ozil out wide, put Ronaldo in the centre and Neymar tucked in behind him or slightly adrift.

Kaka Doesn't start for real so you would have Di maria on the left and drop higuain/benzema.

i rather go 4 lavezzi, turan or marin

Kaka, Higuain and Benzema have no future at that club. As long as Ronaldo is there they may as well be in the stands as far as Mourinho is concerned.

Mourinho apparently considering changing his system. It is said that he is willing to try out 4-3-3 formation next season. Either way, Sahin won't be played out on the left, he just wouldn't be as effective as he is in the centre. He will definitely be a starter, though.

I think they will plat something like this next season:

---------------------Benzema/Higuain/Neymar

------Ozil/Di Maria-----------------------------------Ronaldo

-----------------Alosno------Khedira------Sahin

Alternatively:

---------------------Benzema/Higuain/Neymar

Di Maria-----------------------Ozil-----------------------Ronaldo

---------------------------Alosno-----Sahin

Although Jose has said in the past that Ronaldo is not a striker because he would have his back to play too often.

I think Sahin is too similar to Alonso to play next to him, they need something different.

Jose has already stated that Sahin is a part of his first team plans. He's too good to keep on the bench.

He's either going to play a 4-3-3 next season or drop Khedira for Sahin. I think you're underestimating Sahin's defensive qualities.

I think they would play together in a 4-3-3 but not in the current 4-2-3-1 formation.

I totally don't understand the argument that we don't need him. The reason i feel his best option is us, is because the power relationship between club and player is curently on a more level playing field than any of his other offers.

We need his inspirational potential to energise a jaded squad on it's last legs, and to cement the next step of our evloution. Unlike Robinho, Neymar would actually be coming to England to spearhead a revolution. And imo, he needs the surroundings of fast-paced football and leaders all around him to become the best he can be, who'll at the same time give him enough responsability to grow into the team and make it his over time. That equals either Chelsea or Utd n the latter don't seem interested.

I however, like you, think the chances of him coming are remote at this point, as he may take the advice of those around him a little too hastily

First of all, on what planet is Neymar not effective playing from wide? it's where he plays every match for club and country, most of the time coming in from the left hand side of a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.

2nd Never Blowing Bubbles, have you ever actually watched Nuri Sahin play football? I don;t think he has played left wing in his entire career. He is also not similar to Alonso, He is much more in the Modric mold and has been equally effective as an attacking central mid and defensive central mid.

Usually agree with you Bubbles but not this time

Neymar could be exactly what the doctor ordered. We need some widemen who aren't afraid of running at the full backs and actually capable of cutting inside, something we have not had since Robben left

After watching Kalou and Malouda's toils last season I think even the most diehard Blue would be hard pushed to deny we need some fresh ideas

Neymar is young and immensely talented, imo a futire world player of the year in the making. We sign him now and we're sorted for the next decade

Sorry NVB but I am with the last two posters, I think Neymar could definately be what we've searching for. Expensive - yes, but he wuold provide that bit og magic, skill and creativity we need. He plays out-wide for Santos so he is just as effective there.

Aguero is exactly what we need pace, strength, does not dive, good on the ball, good technique, can header, versatile.
No need to buy Neymar when you have a player who is better than him and Aguero seems to be heading to Juve who have not even qualified for the champions league, very sad.

All this hype about Neymar is unjustified he's not worth £40mil.
I thought when Roman saw that Santos kept pushing the price up for Neymar he would stop persuing him but that is not the case unfortunately.

If his head can be sorted out Neymar or Sanchez are what we need to be more than a functional team. The JM years are behind us, let's go for the magic.
