Think Kuyt will start instead of Hendo.

I can't really argue with the Liverpool team that you have suggested, RKW. Although Kuyt may start ahead of Henderson as Jonjo said. Either way, it should be enough to get the win.
ACP - You mean the team the Mirror think we will start with?
Undecided whether it will be a good thing if Bellamy starts or not. His press conference earlier this week makes me say he will find it hard to play, yet one of the Cardiff players has said today he will have no trouble playing against them.
Anyone else think he's not in the right frame of mind?
Bellamy is always in the right frame of mind, strong character this wont faze him in the slightest. Worst things have happened to him recently
I am confident that any player not showing 100% in fitness, attitude, desire and confidence will not be in the team. This is the one trophy our manager hasn't won. Time to put that right. YNWA JimmyTheRed
I played in the CL final and scored a hatrick against Barcelona.
Does no one care? I also saved a pen in the same game.
Team:
------------------Reina-----------------
Johnson--Skrtel--Agger--Enrique
-----------Gerrard-----Adam---------
---Kuyt---------Suarez-----Downing
-----------------Carroll------------------
Bellamy and Hendo coming of the bench.
Tactics: Wembley is a HUGE pitch, kuyt is a big game player and Gerrard, Carroll, Suarez will be too much for Cardiff. Ourr midfield will control the game and the front boys with their movement will tear a few holes in Cardiff.
Respect to cardiff but we do have a lot of attacking options and all our big players are playing well; we have a top defence and i expect a large difference in territory with Liverpool have 60%+.
Score Prediction: 4-1 to Liverpool. Iook who Cardiff played to get to wembley then look at who Liverpool have played; says it all to me.
Summary: Liverpool control the match and break loose to score several goals while Cardiff put up a spirited defence but conceed to much ground to Liverpool; in essence, this match was a game too far for cardiff.
Liverpool to have most of the game, most of the chances and Cardiff to sneak a 2-1 aet
I would start with this and go go 4-4-2 to make use of the wide pitch :
Reina
Johnson Agger Skrtl Enrique
Kuyt Gerrard Adam Downing
Suarez Carroll
Will be expecting big performances from all but Downing and Carroll in particular in this formation
Got_Better - think 4-1 is a bit optimistic. Definitely agree with Carroll getting a start, he played well against Man Utd in the FA Cup, and in recent matches against Wolves & last week against Brighton too.
What I wouldn't give to see us just control the match like Brighton last week, and the goals will flow if we take our chances.

We have every reason to be optimistic, Cardiff will play to contain and nick a goal. Wembley tho is a very big pitch and with the quality Liverpool have i see at least 3 goals for us.
Cardiff defensively are not great, I have seen them first hand this season and they give up chances (10 Championship sides have conceded fewer goals than them, including Brighton who we have beaten twice)
We should be able to treat this like a home game and go pretty much all out attack.
That's not to belittle Cardiff, they have attacking threats. Miller has good movement and is still pacy, Whittingham is an excellent player and great at set pieces.
They are only about as good as Brighton though (on the same number of points in the league), who we just pummelled 6-1 last week by playing pretty much all out attack.
I don't expect Cardiff will score three og's, but if we attack, and play reasonably well, we should come out on top, probably 3-1 or 2-0, something like that.
Reina
Johnson
Skrtel
Agger
Enrique
Adam
Gerrard
Henderson
Downing
Carroll
Suarez
Bring Bellamy on for the last half hour.
Valid point, but as history will tell you, we never win matches or trophies the "easy way".
It will probably be tight & cagey for the majority of the game, I don't want to make a score predication though, as I'm usually wrong.
I will stick my neck out and here even though most people think we will win they think it will be tight affair possibly settled by a single goal....but i think Liverpool will win 6-1, i know that was the score last week but think that will happen again tomorrow
Get a grip. Bellamy is a certain starter, would also like to see Downing starting.
Hoping Andy and Luis have big games. This match is key to how we develop in the league.
Come on you Reds!
Kick off could be delayed due to train problems. A maintenance train has derailed.
Virgin Trains advise that passengers travelling to Wembley Stadium for the Carling Cup Final should consider driving to Crewe, Stafford or Stoke-on-Trent and using alternative services from those stations.
Still should have enough time to get there, still over 6 hours until kick-off.
Big day then people, anyone's nerves kicked in yet?
