We only need 5 deep midfielders at the most competing for the two places in the 4231, and with McEachran coming back I would sell 2 midfielders. Currently I'd probably sell Lampard and Mikel

all AVB needs is 25 new players. preferably all of them from barcelona.
We should keep essien, romeu, ramires, mceachran and lampard for the 2 deep cm places IMO. Would like to see mikel and meireles go in the summer if we move to a 4231 permanently.

McEachran has a lot of developing to do
Meireles is AVB buy but a squad player at best in my eyes
Mikel/Frank will go for sure possibly Essien I think
From the way he's addressing Lampard in post match interviews, press conferences, etc... you get the feeling he's softening everyone for the blow that will be his departure in the summer.
If the future is 4-2-3-1, Lampard won't get a look in unless he puts a ton of effort into adapting his game before the summer (sure he could, don't think he would). And it's clear Lampard hasn't reacted well to the loss of his untouchable status, which is especially annoying because on the pitch it seems to have started helping him.

Clearly AVB and the club decided let's use this season as transtion
Look to be competitive next season with new players and a new formation he has been testing 4231 all season with this personel

Lampard will remain a legend. But i'd love for him to go
or if not go act like a true cfc legend and help the club and the manager usher in this new cfc
