you've missed off solskjaer

You forgot Ole

I think David Moyes should be pretty high up the list.

Sorry Lucas, forgot about Woy

Ole comes under the same category as Giggs, someone who could be appointed because he's a United legend. So i didn't bother to include both.

But Ole has management experience winning the league with Mold. I want Ole

do you think giggs has any tactical nouse though? as a manager? it could be an absolute disaster. I'm all for an internal appointment cosidering how gaping the hole is going to be when Fergie calls it quits. Although I think a completely new face coming into the fray would be exciting, the pressure may just be too much. Someone already there, like a giggs type figure may a more comfortable appointment

Sorry Thunderkiss

I don't think united would go for Moyes, he's got little experience outside of Everton and doesn't get on too well with Rooney

Although he'd probably do well, he's performed miracles at Everton.

lol busface bruce

tbh i still only think there's one man for the job, one man who could replace fergie and maybe even top his achievements.. we all know who that is

people will be expecting giggs, or ole (CBA SPELLING HIS SIRNAME WRONG) to do a Guardiola. He's the only successful internal appointment from a footballing superpower in years

i really really really hope we don't go for moyes. i think it would show a lack of ambition? has he really performed miracles at everton|? I know he's done a top notch job like.. but still, given the amount of time he has had, is it really that big an achievement?

i think most sensible fans will realise that we will probably have a bit of a struggle when saf leaves and if we have an internal appointment such as giggs or ole then they will be patient, and realistic with their expectations.

I think Most United fans would be delighted with Giggs as manager, even if he was unproven. He's probably the biggest club playing legend.

It could well go wrong like Souness at Liverpool, but that's a risk United fans would be happy to take on.

All fans have their messiahs who can do no wrong

Maybe not miaracles, but he's still done superbly. Keeping a selling club in mid-table for years with the premierships smallest budget is not to be sniffed at.

United probably wouldn't think him ambitious enough, which is why they wouldn't go for him.

90% sure it'll be Mourinho. Plenty who will say he plays dull football blah blah blah, watching Real Madrid this season they're far from boring. He's a born winner, wants to come back to English football, and has the arrogant streak to believe he can surpass SAF's achievements.

posted on 27/2/12

its very difficult to play dull football with ronaldo, ozil, benzema, higuain, kaka, di maria all in the side

posted on 27/2/12

Likewise, it would be difficult to play dull football with the likes of Rooney, Nani, Welbeck and whoever he would sign in the side. So i don't see why so many people get worked up over his style of football if he came here.

Pretty sure Ole and Blanc would be near to a short list but in all honesty cannot see beyond:
Mourinho
Guardiola (if he wants to come)
Moyes outside bet
Harry Redknapp (outside bet)

SAF has already said it should go to a man with experience.

Pep or Jose for me! Ole needs to move to a bigger club before coming back to OT in my opinion.

Out of Pepe and Jose I would go for Pep. He's clearly an amazing manager something like 13 major honours in his time as Barca manager. I also think he will stick around a lot longer then Jose will.

Look at the teams Jose has managed. He has bought some of the best players at their peak, won things and left, leaving the team rotting with little money and aging players. Look at Inter!

I like Pep too. But he is only proven with Barca and tbf if i was a manager of Barca, i would win at least six trophies. Not to mention the Messi factor! He has something about him but Mourinho has achieved more and when he wins the league this season and maybe competes for the champs league, i would have hi by a country mile

I dont want Mourinho doing what he did at Chelsea or Inter. Staying for a few years and leaving when the squad starts to decline.

He also likes to cause trouble and embarrass the club like his eye poking thing.

I am not saying he is a bad manager I just don't think he will be right at United.

Just a side note. Does anyone else find Messi really annoying. If anyone watched Revista De La Liga a few weeks ago Guillem Balaque (sp) stated that Messi told Pep if he subs him or rests him or doesnt play him for any reason he will not speak to him for 4 days.

If this is true then Pep has no choice but to play him.

This myth about him leaving when squad declines is a myth.

The team that he left at Chelsea made it to the Champions league final next year and lost on penalties. The spine of that team still remains.

At Inter, it was already an old team. He bought Sneijder, Milito and Eto and two of those still remain. Eto left of his own volition. Walter Samuel and Lucio who were the bedrock of their defence were in their 30s already. And he stayed there two years, and after his champions league triumph he pursued one of his big dreams and one of the best jobs in football.

He has stated many times that after Madrid he would like to stay in a place for a long time like Ferguson and he admires him a lot and he wants to come back to the EPL. I see him spending ten years at least if he comes. How many coaches all around the world stay more than five years anywayÞ Those days are gone. Ferguson and Wenger are the last of those! Even Guardiola is on a one year rolling contract and contract negotiations after this season has not even started

Yes, and Ferguson has not brought our club into disrepute many times? Maybe not as truculent as Mourinho but he is no Knight and we dont really care. As long as we keep winning and playing good footballl
