Connolly should be given his chance.
Both Townsend and Smith going back free up wages for us as well.

Don't forget Delph as well, although we only had him for a month anyway.
I'd expect to see a few new faces in the next week or two in defence and midfield. Hopefully the Mills rumour turns out to be true.
Connolly never deserved to be dropped in the first place.
I bet Mills has a decent wage.
Zak Thompson did a decent job at right back,1 mistake for Henry's gl vs Arsenal is all I can remember but he is only 19yrs so will make a few.
Warnock getting rid of sg loan players 1 by 1 and a few out of contract at end of season he will be happy to let go and trim squad down to something more sensible.
Thompson played well, but he was prone to silly errors and lapses of concentration that are to be expected with his level of experience. I think the Birmingham match showed that he shouldn't be our first choice right back, but he's definitely a good prospect.
Thompson was targeted by Brum .... and a 9ft freak went 1 on 1 with him - net result 2 goals against us ....
Other than that i thought the kid did good. I'd still give Connolly a chance to prove himself again. I thought he played okay for most of the season - nothing spectacular, just consistent.

How can you justify that statement - this board is a repository of some of the biggest football experts in the UK ?????

That's as maybe, but only four or five are right in theirs?
It's the law!!
This smacks of a fall out with Spurs following the departure of Townsend.
Smacks of a couple of players who came for an easy ride being found out early doors by a manager not so easy to hoodwink!
noI think that Warnock maybe bringing in a whole raft of loanees in can bring in 4 now.Really disappointed I thought a lot about Smith I hope he proves me right!
I thought Smith might be a long term option for us, people were saying he was good when we signed him. But lets move on.
Connolly is a very consistent performer, and should return to the team. Thompson looked promising at rightback too, so maybe a few more appearances for him wouldn't go amiss.
Bruce played last 2 games there though...maybe NW thinks he's the answer.
There is a suggestion that he might have gone back because Walker is ailing?
If that is true fancy Spurs looking after their own position, how selfish eh?
Spu ds recalled Smith i believe - as stated above to cover for Walker.
Personally i'm not that bothered. I like the way loanees are being shipped out and the squad are to be used.
Cue a line of loanees being brought in now i've said that..... .
